Here is a link on the infusion center at El Centro CA, with criteria for treatment. If you do get sick with covid 19  and have any of the conditions (like 65 or older) get in there early on so they can help you. The infusion treatment offered is monoclonal antibodies.

Nice day today in southern AZ, in the 70's but still felt cold with the breeze. Tried going for a walk but no one is wearing masks. Did not want to breathe in all that spew so went back inside.

Yuma county is looking into some pretty dark areas to figure out what is obvious: not wearing masks = more disease. Link to the wastewater virus tracking project in Yuma, also doing this in Tempe.

Glad I did not get that job.

A side benefit of wearing the mask: no sunburns on the nose. I may continue doing this forever to protect the skin on my nose.  -c

It seems amazing to me how many people play the lottery feeling they have a chance to win but won’t wear a mask because they feel the odds are they won’t get the virus! How does that make any sense? Maybe we should start giving out lottery tickets to people that test! Lol!!!

Well like I said before, in AZ you will either get the shot or the virus, maybe both. Same in Socal. You could have the virus with no symptoms even, but can still pass it on to your loved ones. We tested a couple weeks before getting the shot, just in case we were already infected.

Good news, lots more shots coming to you. Bad news the AZ website for appointments is as cantankerous as an old mule. Keep trying. Links and phone number in previous posts.

Having another beautiful day in southern AZ, 70's and sunny with 40's at night still. Watching old Lethal Weapon movies.

We are looking at this protein supplement, no need for refrigeration or mixing and 30 grams of protein plus vitamins, low sugar. Link to supply listing.

The virus is so widespread now in AZ and Socal, that most people will get exposed. Still good to get the shot so you don't get so sick.  -crofter

Seems to be a major problem when death tolls and hospitalizations just keep going higher and people some how aren’t doing anything or little to stop the virus from spreading. Just goes to show that leaders think that if they keep saying something that is not true enough times people will believe it is true. Unfortunately it seems to be working for many people and in many cases!

People deal with stressful situations in complex ways.  Show 10 people a Rorschach blot and you will get 10 different answers to what they see.  So, don't think that what seems logical to you does for anyone else.

A couple of personal observations:

-1- Our government and press have NO credibility to me.
-2- The press seems to be banging the 'panic' drum pretty hard.
-3- I expect to be treated as a citizen not a subject.
-4- I am offended by the 'one size fits all' trends from our leaders.
-5- People are stubborn and will sometimes act against their own best interest when 'ordered'.
-6- We make value judgements on a vast array of inputs all the time.
 -7- We are social creatures.
-8- We all participate in activities that put others at risk.
-9- I have decided that freedom and community are more important than the small chance of a bad health event.
-10- It is the job of public health to convince us of a course of action; it's obvious they have failed.

Looks like La Paz county is not going to be one of theveasier ones for getting a vaccine in. Right now they are at tne absolute bottom of the number of Covid vaccines given by any AZ county.

Since you are mobile, you could try a different county. Maybe one of the larger counties doing drive thru so no line to wait in.  -crofter

I just saw that Arizona will start giving vaccine shots to anyone over 65 next Tuesday. I imagine the lines will get even longer unless they start using commercial pharmacy outlets.

Stats showing that Yuma is the worst of the worst metro areas, not sure if mexican burbs are included or no. Link to site, you can look up new cases per 100k to find Yuma at the top.

Both LaPaz and Yuma county made the top 100 worst counties list.

80 degrees today, just awesome. Sat around and made chili. I accidentally put some 35000 cayenne in it instead of chili powder. I have never had chili that made my ears tingle. Had to tone it down a bit.

On the covid 19 stats, Yuma is still the worst metro area of the top 100 metro areas nationally. Sierra Vista is 6th today, followed by Lake Havasu City in 9th, Phoenix in 11th place and Tucson in 14th.

Places you might want to be instead include Flagstaff at 17th, ElCentro at 28th, Prescott at 55th, and Las Vegas at 78th.
