XFILE36 said:thanks . How I'm feeling right now...Warning: Mild cussing in song: Grace Jones, "Bullshit":
Actually, I bought a 31 ft class A through ebay a while back. The seller had many detailed photos. They were in Arizona, and I was in Vegas. I communicated with them at first via ebay, then exchanged numbers. I noted they had sold to people in Vegas before, so asked if they were willing to drive to Vegas, where upon personal inspection, they got paid the balance. I initially sent them a $500. deposit before they would come out.slow2day said:This outcome was predictable and it's too bad but at least it should serve as a warning to others. A warning to buyers who think it might be OK to buy something off eBay or wherever that you can't personally inspect. And also a warning to those suggesting vans for others to buy; it can make you feel bad when all you were doing was trying to help and then things go awry.

XFILE36 said:called seller: asked if he has made an appt for the specialist. He said he took the cover off...? I asked if he called and got appt he said he'd knock off $200. I asked again....he said he can't get an appt today...said, ok, that's all I need to know. Gonna pay for another day then start hunting how to get back home. ty
XFILE36 said:Just received call that I let go to voicemail, from mechanic. I want the tribe's advice/help as much as you can in this situation. As one tribe member pointed pout, i agreed to the pre-buy inspection, but he never did what we were supposedly agreed to beyond that. I now have to deal with all this crap and try to find a way home so please wish me luck, and helpful advice is appreciated. TY
