Just picked up my "new" Nissan cube. 30k miles on it, $10k which is a lot more than I wanted to spend, but I honestly couldn't find much at that price point locally, let alone my dream car (yes the cube is my dream car). This car was meticulously maintained apparently, with the records to prove it. I drove down to WV to pick it up. Christened her with stops in a couple National Parks and a hot springs visit on my way back up to the Jerz.

Plan is to have some sort of rig with it for camping. I am still working most days for my main job in the city, but at some point, potentially in the not too distant future, my husband and I are going to try RV living in his little trailer, and I will fly back and forth (I have millions of points/miles so this costs me almost nothing) for when I need to be in the area for work (that type of work is off/on). Further out we will likely sell the house, be 100% mobile, and maybe one day get land elsewhere- but it's likely I'll always have a foot in this area.
As for now sometimes I need to carpull with people so I need to have room for 3 passengers- leaving the back seat in somehow for now.

Not a lot of info out there on cube camper builds (couple people on youtube although not the craziest of builds) so I will outline here what I come up with.

I lived in a van for 2.5 yrs a ways back so not my first rodeo. That van was already somewhat built out however (nothing fancy just a DIY platform, cabinet, and very importantly insulation in the walls, killer)

I am a bit confused. Are you planning to tow your husbands little trailer with a Nissan Cube? If so that is a NO CAN DO THAT plan. The Nissan Cube is not even given a tow rating in the specs because it is not up towing anything.

To put it very clearly, your dream car is not going to meet your needs because you did not do enough research homework prior to making a purchase.

If you had chosen a 4 wheel drive Subaru wagon that would have worked because they do have a tow rating that allows for pulling some of the small travel trailers. Plus they have better ground clearance.

No, he has his own tow. Casita with a 4runner.

We'll be out and about but I'll be flying back and forth between adventuretime with him in various parts of US/Canada and home area, where I work off/on (can't do remote). The cube would be my camper when I'm back in this area and probably during 3 season conditions. In the meantime it's my daily driver for city commute.

Using a tiny vehicle as a camper is much more common in Europe. Watching videos on YT of campers built on small chassis may give you some ideas that could be applied in the Cube.

Here are some of the smaller vehicles: Peugeot Expert, Fiat Talento, Citroen Jumpy, Mercedes Vito, Toyota Proace.
