Just picked up my "new" Nissan cube. 30k miles on it, $10k which is a lot more than I wanted to spend, but I honestly couldn't find much at that price point locally, let alone my dream car (yes the cube is my dream car). This car was meticulously maintained apparently, with the records to prove it. I drove down to WV to pick it up. Christened her with stops in a couple National Parks and a hot springs visit on my way back up to the Jerz.
Plan is to have some sort of rig with it for camping. I am still working most days for my main job in the city, but at some point, potentially in the not too distant future, my husband and I are going to try RV living in his little trailer, and I will fly back and forth (I have millions of points/miles so this costs me almost nothing) for when I need to be in the area for work (that type of work is off/on). Further out we will likely sell the house, be 100% mobile, and maybe one day get land elsewhere- but it's likely I'll always have a foot in this area.
As for now sometimes I need to carpull with people so I need to have room for 3 passengers- leaving the back seat in somehow for now.
Not a lot of info out there on cube camper builds (couple people on youtube although not the craziest of builds) so I will outline here what I come up with.
I lived in a van for 2.5 yrs a ways back so not my first rodeo. That van was already somewhat built out however (nothing fancy just a DIY platform, cabinet, and very importantly insulation in the walls, killer)
