Thanks Blkjak. Yeah I slept better last night so maybe the anxiety is less. I even had my own boys out a bit. I didn't want them to be among them. I've never never been creeped out by animals. This is a 1st. When I'm gone for the week we are putting mothballs behind the walls and then take some out when I get back. Its been know that animals can't stand this smell and it seems us humans can't either.

Thanks Dragonfly Im glad you didnt post it LOL Yes Im still creeped out but not as bad. Every day it gets a little better.

You know lots of people can not understand me who loves rodents how I can be so creeped out about the rats...when I have them as pets. Now I can understand why people who get so crazy when they talk about "those" rats meaning wild who may or may not carry diseases. They slither ,steal and can ruin a whole house. but my babies are NO where in that spot. They cant slither cause they are too slow. They dont carry diseases because I surely wouldnt be here now. They dont bite (unless they think your fingers are food) And they havent ruined my place yet. Put 2 and 2 together and they still dont add up. My rats are NO WHERE like those wild counter parts.

I believe that Blkjak thanks for showing that.

Wild rats are just good at adapting to us... ON their own terms. It's kind of admirable, actually. Rats, ants... roaches... Society hates them because they have adapted to us without compromising their own selves... well, sort of like some mobile vagabonds who refuse to conform to society's rules. <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"><div>It's like they're tweaking their noses at us saying: "I'm wild, take it or leave it". But all the same, it is the rule of the jungle for them. They can be eaten anytime or killed. Well, I am sure they will serve as food for someone else in the food chain...</div>

<div>I totally agree with you. Ive always had a respect toward rats ,seagulls pigeons (not roaches though)they seemed to me to be the real survivors here. Nobody gives them a hand out(well most us don't). They know how to get people to give them food&nbsp;whether&nbsp;they put it out for them on purpose or not. They don't need us to survive but they have somehow made us pansies really ...giving to them and then we complain about them. Don't want them in your garbage? Do what one landlady did. She left the food&nbsp;separate&nbsp;from the other garbage put it in a box and left it out for them, they never bothered her non food pail.</div>
