Becky U may need to get a 4 way lug wrench, they are pretty cheap at Wal- Mart.  Do you have a jack?  I use a bottle jack not a scissors jack.   I learned the hard way to check my lug nuts and tighten them..  Ranger had been in the tire shop...weeks later there was thumping and clunking noises on turns and then $50 in repairs because of loose lug nuts.  The same guy said he'd fix it but would have to charge me as anyone could  have loosened them.
When I left his shop he was absolutely sure I wasn't a lady.    :D

My regular Mech. did the work on it.  I should have checked the wheels after the first work was done. Sometimes lug nuts just loosen while driving. I knew this too!  *&%$#$$%^ I LEFT OUT.......IMO  :p

Jewellann..... I carry a scissor jack, a bottle jack, and a small 2 1/2 ton floor jack.  I want to be prepared..... :D   Dennis

Going really well out here, met a few women, who seem to think the same, didn't find that alot before.

Awesome to have someone to camp and travel with, can offer mutual aid. Can't believe I did it for three yars two with no internet help and all with no one to one. That is the harder way.

This camping area is great but I would not stay on my own. Totally comfortable with someone else here. Found a can pipe this am, it is not all in my mind, I knew it wasnt. Of course I worry about what was being smoked some I could care less, some I care!

Wmen thinking of heading out, it is worth the risk to helo each other on here, get to know what the person is about and meet them. See if u could have a equal share of resources and travel comfortably
 Thank u all so much!

Love taking pics of everything. Thank u for always asking for them. Here ya are! ???

Sierra Nevada

Every since I started planning to come see my daughter I have been intrigued with The Sierra Nevada, it seemed so ominous and massive. I have reading books about it.  Just the name is grand, The Sierra Nevada.

Well I experienced the massiveness of it yesterday! From Reno to Mono Lake there are some huge drop offs the side of the road, and the guard rails were not comforting me, I had to pull over because of sweating and shaking.  The only thing that got me through was coming to the conclusion if it was my karma, my fate, to die tumbling over the edge in a vehicle, well there was really nothing I could do to change it.

I got to the Mono Lake visitors center, and I am sure looking crazy, asked the worker if there was anyway out of here that didn't include those mountains, I didn't care how far out of my way I had to go.  He smiled and assured me I was through them.

I can deal with so much in life my own traumas, others, but for some reason this about does me in, the same thing happened on bridges in my high top van. It stinks because it limits where I will go and what I will do. Oh well can't have everything in life.  And like I always say to my daughter the great things about hard times is when they end, regular life feels awesome.

Having a wonderful time at two blm campgrounds on 395 around Bishop and Independence California.  These campsites are rustic but have garbage, fire pits and vault toilets, and 5.00 a night and they take my national forest access pass so it is 2.50.  Not crowed because there are so many of them.  Feel totally safe in these campgrounds, unlike home, where they are party central, loud, crisis happening all the time.  I told my daughter it is too far for gangsters and criminals to come for a few straggly campers, low yield. I would feel fine about my daughters being out here on their own and that says it all:)

The host says he gets 500.00 a month and his free spot, he says he drinks beer in between every chore he does:). So I could save the 800.00 I'd pay in rent, get the 500.00 and 800.00, so 1300.00 and I wouldn't need to spend over 300.00 so could save a 1,000.00 a month.  If I ever run low on funds and in need of a new vehicle, a few months of this I could do.  The vehicle does need to be self contained, he says he got his for 1,500.00 has had it for a year and no repairs.  This would be a good way for people starting out, that don't have a monthly check coming in.  I can see they would need people as there are so many of these campgrounds. He says there is very, very little he has to do.

It is a constant light show out here, colors changing by the minuete.  The dog is so cute she is ALIVE with the smells, leaping over streams, running like a puppy soo great to see!

My wife is terrified of those steep dropoffs, luckily they don't bother me and I do most of the driving. It would be hard to gut that out, so good job!!

I am waiting for the weekend campers to clear out to go get spot. First time I slept soundly through the night at a pilot or flying Js so much more comfortable out here.  Beautiful areacamper central San Padras national forest tons of campgrounds. A little confusing with some of these being run by concessions. Passes permits fees! Yes they do not want boondocking!

I went to a campground in angles national forest and it was closed! Just as well, I asked a local if it was safe there and he said"it's hit or miss, you should be all right u have your dog" not a rousing endorsement there was glass along the highway for miles. Didn't feel right and I can't sleep when it is like that. I went to a different one that suggested one, I was looking for ones off highway, should have know better, they are often party central! Was worried about mountain roads, these are are rolling hills compared to the Sierra Nevada .

Queen, I kept missing your posts trying to get a little of this down before I forget! I am having a ball and I am refried of those cliffs! That's how it seems to go for me, really hard and stressful then awesome.

I is really coming together and I hope people always remember I paid my dues, for many it is reaaly really hard in the beginning, not all the woman I meet up with it is coming together for her but she planned researched worked hard saved. It is not always a vacation living on the road. But for me right now it is a peak expereince, haven't felt this happy in a long long time. It is a huge relief to find people who care about the same things I do. Maybe I wasn't shy just bored! I was wondering did u get to Illinois? How are u
