Nice to see this here. What'd you think of the new release?

Like most of the tunes, seems like a more "pop" SW, but he is always reinventing and exploring.
Hand Cannot Erase is a tough act to follow.

Indeed he is. And I can certainly appreciate that. Although I think late PT and early SW is the best stuff he has done. Are you a fan of Opeth as well?

Yup, love Raven.  Don't know Opeth, will check it out, thanks!

bluegrass and old country. most people don't like bluegrass because they dont know how to listen. with bluegrass the music is first and the singing is second. that is why at most bluegrass shows you wont hear a lot of noise from the audience. they are consecrating on the music  instruments.

When mean ol' , Mr. Depression slips in the back door for a visit. I turn to John Lee Hooker & Carlos Santana. RIP John Lee Hooker.

Generally speaking, I am a great decomposer of things musical. The most common request I got from the now ex-wife was "please stop!"

I can see where musically speaking, I would not fit in too well here. My tastes tilt more towards my Celtic/American roots, hence my enjoyment of Riverdance, Enya, Celtic Woman, Celtic Thunder and the various renditions of the Irish Cup Song. When I feel the need to stray from the "farm", I have numerous Chicago CDs to keep me company on the road of life. Though more often than not, I listen to talk radio.

Considering the number of Enya, Celtic Woman, Celtic Thunder, and similar cd's I have; I guess I would be right there with you.

Anything by Zepplin or Steppenwolf - particularly Kashmir and Born to be Wild.

I just found Zepparella - they are great too!

If I am drinking, it's pink floyds shine on you crazy diamond.. parts 1 through 9 .. about 25 minutes total.. this usually gets played after George thorougoods one bourbon one scotch one beer...

If I want soothing sounds I throw on Billy Holiday. If I want storytelling then I throw on John Prine. And for upbeat it's a mixture.

:D  For me is country all the way........"I have friends in low places" by Garth Brooks.

I really do.  :p

May not be one song but when I am on the road my go to is my Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Lionel Ritchie love songs. I love singing. I AM Pretty eclectic I like a little of everything except rap I like some of the older stuff but not into the new at all. I am really into liquid mind, Dueter, Yanni, Sarah Brightman. Cat Power and Flunk are good. Love motown. Getting a guitar to learn to play and sing. Told I am a okay singer. Put a song up on YouTube for a girl not much response on it but as it was just for her don't really care.

Okay enough Ramblin on I LOVE MUSIC HA HA
