Ironically there are a couple of Leonard Cohen songs I like, but really prefer the remakes by other artists. He's a great songwriter, but he seemed to lack the emotion some of the songs benefit from when sung.
Puts me in mind of the Hendrix cover of All Along the Watchtower, which I thought was hugely powerful when Hendrix did it and much less so when Dylan did it.

I remember thinking the movie was awful, but don't remember this song  Really liked hearing it this time!
Pretty aggressively a-social lyrics, but that's what makes it work.  Where else on earth do you hear that kind of thing?

Although maybe this forum is a natural locus for some of those feelings ... and I sure have them myself sometimes ...

Great songs... love lee marvin, audrey hepburn and led zeppelin rocks! There's an ocean of beautiful songs..

:( Sorry, my bad... (Simon & Garfunkel's 'The sound of silence") that was my intention. You've filled the gap and more.. very nice!  :)  I also found this instrumental version of "The Rising Sun"...

I usually only listen to the first ten seconds or so of this one, but since I have it set as the alarm on my phone for when I get up to go to work in the morning, I technically listen to it more than anything else.

White Zombie's "The One", from the Escape from L.A. soundtrack.

Its, loud, hard hitting, fast paced and impossible to sleep through when it goes off first thing in the morning.

I don't know if I listen to any particular song the most, but I need to work this into my rotation again:

I listen to SomaFM online -
SomaFM has about 20 channels that can meet most listening needs -

I listen to Space Station Soma channel -
it is 98% instrumental and is Easy listening -

Listening to SomaFM online uses very little data
and has No commercials -

SomaFM likely has a channel for you - Jay-
