Hi -  I have been following Bob Wells on Youtube for over a year now.  While I don't currently live nomadically I do often travel.  I am a semi retired automotive technician.  If you have any technical questions I might have answers.

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the forums.
You definitely have skills needed for nomadic lifestyle. Have you given any thoughts about being a traveling mechanic?
Once you start working with tools you never really stop.  To be a proper mobile mechanic I would have to convert a box truck into a rolling shop and that's a step I'm not ready for, business licenses, insurance, and all the red tape. is just too much.  That said I am not above helping out, doing the right thing, paying it forward and so on.  Let's just say I travel without adequate tools to do what I can, if I have to.

I watch the sunset over a ocean in the West, but I can answer questions and give advice.  Think of me as a Left coast answer to Click and Clack.

I live on the West Coast still searching for a good Class B. Will you marry me? LOL

Wow, ... , no, ... thank you.  I have a fiancee.  Good luck with both of those things Lerca.  Next time, trying leading with, "are you single?"   Interested is good, desperate, ... not so much.   ;)

So a couple of newcomer questions I haven't found answers too, yet.
What's the skinny on the gold stars by peoples names?
Some people have commented and that has influenced my reputation.  What's that all about?
I going to read through the newcomers package again in case I missed it, so if the answers are there no need for replies.
