Hello I am Alex, been moving all over the country for a couple years now, you know the routine , move to new city, get a job, get a apartment, move when bored. Recently I have been in Texas and lost my job and stumbled on to this site, as I would soon be losing my place to live and run out of options.I must admit this lifestyle seems to be what I have been looking for all along. I just bought my first van and am starting the build out, its nice to know that others are out there, I was thinking about doing this awhile back, but never knew that there were others, can't wait to meet some of you and exchange ideas.
Good luck Alex, What kind of van? Cargo or Conversion?
Welcome!! Any questions you have as you are converting it, feel free to ask us, you are the reason we are here! Bob
I got a Cargo van, it used to be an AC company van, when I have questions this will be my first stop
Hi Alex, glad to have you here!

So I got this cargo van but its got windows down one side Those will be covered, But The bulkhead is solid no door, just wondering popular opinion on leaving this in.

personally alxadrift, if the bulkhead doesn't allow you to pass from rear area to drivers' seat without getting out of the van, I'd consider putting in a passage or replacing/removing it - I always want to be able to get out of any spot without having to get out of my van, in fact that's one of the van's greatest benefits imo (other than stealth).

I agree with you Bear, i want to be able to get up and leave where i am, within 30 seconds if i need to.

I'm with you guys on this...that is one of the best things about a van over a pickup camper....

Thanks For all the advice I removed the bulkhead and took it the the recycle center for a little bit of change. I think a curtain should suffice to block off the back to the front
