Hi Folks, is anyone here or does anyone know of any food truck vendors who operate out of Quartzite? I am helping organize a rocket launch event nearby in October, and we need at least one food vendor who is familiar with the local Yuma BLM office and perhaps is already permitted in the area.

Thanks!

The local powers that be.  (City Haul) should have an idea.  Or ask Paul at the book store.  He is non political and has a lot of connections there.

Good Idea...

October is a little early. As the crowds have thinned all the vendors are coming later in the year, many not till December and many don't get there until January.

There is plenty of food in Quartzsite, are you looking for someone to come out to your camp?

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes. We have an event that usually draws a few hundred hungry people. Main days are sat-sun, oct 10-11. We had to cancel last year due to loss of venue, and the prior year was in Kingman, so had low turnout, but pent up demand should yield our normal flyer count. A venture crew (after boy scouts) used to come, but they disbanded, and we're not sure the scout troop that replaced them can come due to permits. We used to fly on private land, so it wasn't an issue. Now, with the BLM, they need a permit, and the BLM supposedly gets a cut. Your tax dollars at work.

The Venture/BSA usually sold breakfast in the morning, hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch, and sometimes the same for dinner.
