Todsy was mybmy first trip across the border into Los Algodones. I hitched a ride with a friend who was heading there. it was overall a pleasant experience. Comung back through customs was super easy. We got there pretty earlly so were crossing back before lunch, only a few people were in li e so we got through quicly. I had heatd con flicting reports about what I D was needdd but my enhanced Drivers license was the only ID I had to show. No need for a passport or birth certificate in addition to the enhanced DL. the way some persons have stated
I was able to get lots of the very few prescript oon medications I take. Nothing exotic amoong them, just an antiinflamatory for arthritis, an inhaler for my mild bronchities and a mild muscle relaxer. I do have prescription drug insurance but the annual cost to uby them in Mexico came out lower than if I ha gotten them in the US. Plus not having to deal with going for refills every month or two is huge bonus. Once a year and done suits me just fine in my nomadic life.
But this trip was mostly about finding out where to park how eady was it to move around the town , cross the border etc. I w ill be going back in a few weeks to stay closer to the border as I anticipate several more trips to get some dental work done.
Lots of vendors trying to sell me jewelry. They do seerm to target women a lot. Not at all scary or anything, jtey are all very pleasant, just smile and say no thanks. The next task will be to figure out which dentist to see, there are a great many of them.
