Which is better, photographic prints or modern on canvas?

Currently high today was 106 degrees and now about 100, much cooler thank you. We actually had a few clouds pass by, but none leaked at all.

Almost finished installing my desk/ sit down work bench. Just have to put in two bolts thru the top and put in a bracket to attch the leg to tne face frame of the bed. but it  is functional now!  My  desk chair is a wee bit low but a cushion will solve that issue.

I really want to store my clothes in the car, they take up too much space in the trailer. I did clear out 2 more bin boxes of stuff today so eventually I will get them moved int there. Once some drawers are built that will free up even more space in the car., as will getting some items listed for sale which I might do this weekend on the Seattle craigslist and other things in my Etsy store.

The fairground space in Monroe Wa is not lovely but it works OK for puttting time into my build. no one says anything anout my using saws, drills, power sander etc. that is because there are industrial spaces next to it as well as the speedway track. Plus all the supply stores I need are very close by which saves time and gas.   So I will be staying here  a couple more days. Then back to Seattle for labor day weekend and free camping. I have some mail due in on Tuesday. no plans on where I will go after that. Too hot to head very far south though.  But much depends on the fall weather, sometimes September is dry, other years it is very soggy. Living in my trailer I now get to leave if its going to be dreary like last fall was in the NW.

Awesome town at Monroe, and fairgrounds are great to camp in town. Don't forget to stop in at the Silver Spoon in Duvall if it is still open.

Two questions:  1) Is it tricky to mow in the dark?  2)  Will you use your bread baking superpowers in the van?
Indian fry bread is gypsy fare for sure, at least for me. Also, rolls not too hard to produce in less than ideal proofing conditions.

Hello - I am loving your art, Sofi! I went to my Dr. Appt. today and was declared somewhat healthy. Of course I didn't tell him all my problems, so "healthy" is relative.

I'm still unloading my van from the trip to get storage items in Idaho. Don't know why, but when I got back here it is like I lost a lot of energy and have been feeling weak and tired ever since. I unload a few boxes a day, that's all. Really pathetic, to not have the energy to do much.
Us mature ones need to take rest days, sometimes as often as three or more days off per week. Be sure to get those rest days on your schedule, TA. Good to hear your trip went ok. We are at the end of the hot weather in southern AZ, and that makes me really glad. I have been busy flipping a trailer so some of the work was inside this summer.

Mail service has been reported to have slowed way down in some cases so if you can I would check ahead.

Looks like one last gasp at 117F this weekend in Yuma, hopefully it'll cool down afterwards. We'll be getting over 100F here this weekend, but Sept 1 is usually a shift to when the nights start to cool off. Hooray for September. Glad you're still with us, crofter.

On a positive note, percent of covid cases testing positive in AZ is down to 6% from 28% in mid-July. Yea.

A full-timer gypsy friend of mine, hiding in the woods of WI, makes yummy looking bread in her crockpot.

The mail I am waiting on is  orders from Amazon. I get notices for shipping and delivery. Mostly getting the parts so I can setup a Yagi antenna on a mast for remote location reception on Verizon.  Still need a cable and a gender bender connector for the cable. Will have to order those direct from WeBoost as they not in their Amazon store.

I'm feeling better today! Maybe more energy? I hope so. I need to film a video for my Booktube channel. I started the day by putting a few of the van boxes behind the van and there they sit, in the driveway, until I feel like taking care of them. I maybe have unloaded about 1/3 to 1/2 of what's in there, but have adjusted okay to sleeping in the van with the boxes taking up most of the space. It will be great fun to get it emptied out again and reclaim that space. I want to take a trip to Medford when this is done and buy materials for building out the interior of the van. I think it is time. Would that be a great winter project, when it isn't too hot to exist while working in a van? With more energy comes more hope.

Soo much inspiration everywhere on this forum.

Now I want to write "The American Gypsy Cookbook."

I love you guys..gals.. :)

I will never, ever be able to make bread like Sofi.  I've only baked one loaf in my life (a no knead recipe in a mini-dutch oven in a conventional S&B oven).  When the sun comes back, I'm going to give this small batch roll recipe a try in my solar cooker.  https://www.dessertfortwo.com/small-batch-dinner-rolls/

Over the last week or so, I've been fooling around quite a bit with alternatives to propane and butane cooking options.  It's been loads of fun!

In my van, I wanted to add a small bit of aesthetics, so I covered up the bare white walls by hanging blankets with nice designs. Below is a fractional view of part of my build. Now that Sophia has the cabinets painted and the flooring planned, she'll start looking at the grey carpeting on the walls. I might get some artistic hangings to tack up, short of painting it all myself.

My carpenter, lumberjack, pike minnow fishing, mechanic friend told me about beer bread. I guess it is fairly common in his circles.

He makes it often and said it is super easy and good too.

Anyone else make beer bread? Looks like you get to skip the whole rising rigmorale stuff and laundry list of ingredients.

I really like the motif you have there. It is very  Pendleton Blanketesque. I like the swivel light too!

Id love to have walls  like you and Sofi have. I think  that is the way to go.

Both look great ..I have instead luan painted and polyed white with mangled cuts.... and splits and pokeys.
