Hot and muggy here. Best I could do is run up town and set the air at the community center to accommodate the church putting on their VBS this week.
Back home now mustering up energy to start the whole mudding up my walls and ceilings. But for now I’ll just plan my attack and rest. Haha!
I can’t believe how much better I feel in the desert. But heat I don’t like either. So I’ll muddle through the mudding for now.
I forgot to mention TA the reason I use North Country... I had a business for a good number of years building fireplaces and chimneys. The name of it was North Country Chimney. Sounds like you have great family and friends TA to make your milestone birthdays special.
Maki... way to stay busy... I’m the same way. I try not to go to town to often. By town here I mean the bigger town with shopping and all. (Grand Rapids or Hibbing... I’m right in between) and running into Goodland two miles I use my four wheeler, with Kira on the back of course.
Morgana, nature lover would be proud! Very nice pictures. My daughter in law had a humming bird feeder out here. So the couple that were coming are a little confused like come back!

Kira certainly makes an excellent security system for any vehicle she is riding in or on.

It is going to be a hot day here in Northern Arizona, my shade cloth needs to be deployed this morning. I will be working on a few final task for finishing the cabinet building this week. Going to be a great feeling to get that major aspect of my build done.

I got one of my 2 charging stations trimmed out. My cabinets do a drop down to different levels. The kitchen height drops to just below the window and then another drop to the bed/bench seat height. Good location for the electrical outlets!

The second drop down extended distance is related to where the forward end of the wheel well is located. The height of the bench seat/bed is related to the heigth of the wheel well. My custom layout gives me a lot of countertop space as well as cabinet space.

Wow. Very nice Maki. Love the fiber(?) material you used for the fronts.

The door panels are a woven material. Fiberglass strands that are coated with vinyl. Very strong stuff, it typically is seen as the seats on outdoor dining sets. But it also gets used as outdoor floor covering on decks. I was lucky to find a very big piece of it in the rug section at a Goodwill store. I had planned to order it new so was thrilled to find it for a very low cost.Had to peel off the foam padding on the back and give it a good scrubbing. Worth the effort as it is expensive material. Let's the cabinet interior breathe but is strong enough to use for door panels.

Here is what it is. It comes in lots of color choices but this link is for my color. https://www.sailrite.com/Phifertex-...B5EqfI3SOA8cOHXXo5__tjqiOh7ZlqJwaAk8cEALw_wcB

Turned out beautiful. Nice job.

Looking at the news with record high temperatures makes me realize that relative to what others are experiencing in the US and parts of Europe I have nothing worth complaining about as high 80s for a few hours of the day would be a substantial heat relief to many.

Wildfires in typically rainy London with triple digit all time record high temperatures!

The warmer nights mean I do not wake up in as much pain from osteoarthritis in my hands neck and shoulders. Cool enough to sleep, so it is just right at night.

Wow, that is unbelievably nice Maki...
I sure was wishing I had the use of your lovely 10" table saw for those trim boards that cover the edges of that electrical outlet panel. I had to use my little 4" model making saw which barely had enough motor power to make the 1/8" deep recess cuts needed on the back of the poplar 1/4" thick trim boards to hide the edges of the panel. One quick pass on your saw would have done the job versus multiple slow passes on my mini sized table saw. Of course my small Honda generator is not capable of running a 10" saw so that is another limiting factor and I can't lift big generators or big table saws much less have space for them . So I make do with slow and tedious versus quick and easy.

Making the cabinets over time means that while the newer pieces of poplar I recently purchased look a lot lighter in color..and they are...they will turn darker in color with time and they will look all look much the same although some pieces are naturally lighter than others depending on the tree and if it is heart wood from the center or wood closer out to the bark.

That looks really nice....good work Maki!

Now...as I look around my place, I see a few possible locations for some new Maki-Made Cabinets!

How much do you charge per hour??

🤠

Hahaha... well, @maki2, at least you've done your own trailer build so far fairly well.

Nothing new to report here in the Klamath River Valley. More of the same, one day at a time.
