Hooray, the constant F- bombingn eighbor with a super negative attitude, hates people, hates dogs, hates himself, etc has now departed for locztions unknown. He set his generator out on a long cord so it was far away from his rig which mafe it closer to mine. Did not want to get out of bed on many nights to shut it off for quiet time so it ran half the nightt until the gas was gone.

Still one of the 3 RVs in the group remains but he is a very nice soft spoken young man who works remotely full time. That is fine with me as he is a good and kind person to camp next to.

Of course now I will soon be running a small generator some evenings but it should no be loud enough to annoy anyone other than myself. But I do respect quiet hours anyway.

Time for work, I have lots to do today so I had better get to it.

Took a trip out from Quartzsite a couple days ago in the side by side with another side by side and a couple of jeeps and was treated by spotting a small herd of Bighorn sheep. They were in the trees and it was hard to get a shot but one person in the little caravan did get some better pics so I’ll use them.

Oh wait. The skunk pic wasn’t out there but it is running around Quartzsite.

Quartzsite can be beautiful when you get out in the desert.

Very nice pics makes me want to go see for myself. But if I get through this thing I plan to stay in Florida till spring then go back home for a while but if things work out national parks and Arizona desert here I come.

As far as that nasty neighbor camper I wonder if it could be Bob Wells. You know he’s going down the tube he’s even been seen with Wonder Hussey.

I am prretty sur that I wont be running into Bob Wells while camping at a BLM LTVA.
But I have met a few members of this forum during my time here. I have been out at the YARC campsite a fair amount of time this last few days. Done with phase 1 on the project I was assisting with. It will be a few more days before phase 2 starts.

Hello everyone. MAKI you do know It was just a jest about Bob Wells being that nasty camper, after all he is now running around with the lower side of life, wonder Hussey. ??.

Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone .I really just got out of surgery about an hour ago they didn’t start till 230. I have a cast on my leg or split of some kind and I don’t know all the details till I talk to the surgeon tomorrow morning when I am sober. As far as I know everything is going well and rehab is in the near future. Spending time in Florida and seeing it from the inside of a hospital. But that’s better than seeing it from 6 feet under in one of their cemeteries. There was a nurse going down the hallway recently and she reached in her pocket to find a pen and all she found was a rectal thermometer. I heard her exclaim “which A H*** has my pen?” Not my normal type of humor but I thought it was good.

I haven’t heard from some regulars for a while BNC is missing again.

I got 3  of the donuts. and B &C made me a nice dinner too.

He said he is not used to seeing a woman up on a ladder doing that kind of stuff. But if he was to be around in the marinas in the Pacific NW he would see plenty of wonen out on the boats in docks using scrapers and heat guns. Some of the best paint and varnish crews around are women owned and women staffed. They also work as riggers, sail makers, etc. Took paint and varnishing lessons from one of those professional women in a course at the Wooden Boat School in Port Townsend WA. I had my own wooden sailboat that needed new paint and varnish so I could put it in a wooden boat festival to find a buyer for it. Laying down varnish is for sure an artisan trade but I have not done enough of it to rate as pro. Removing old varnish from curved surfaces without damaging them does teach good control using a heat gun and that previously acquired skill came into play up on B&Cs roof for the tape removal job.

After I took that paint and varnish lesson I got to stay on at the Wooden Boat Shool in the boat shed and paint my day sailer, classic wooden boat before I took it to the Wooden Boat Festival. The school had built my boat quite a few yeasrs previosly as thatcclass years teaching prtoject. The designer of that particular boat sells plans for it, the model is called Teach. The photos I took of it while in the shed doing the paint and varnish and of it on display at the boat festival are now the photos used by the designer on his website.
Here. Is a link to that.

Picked up my new generator, put in the oil and gas and it fired up as it should. Feels good to get that essential item checked off my list. Essential for business, for sdome build tasks and pretty much essential when spending summers and fall where there are a lot cloudy days . My new popup screened shelter with wind panels will give me a space where it can run next to my trailer on rainy days without the generator getting wet. Next up is a trip to Yuma to pick up that shelter, some plywood, drawer runners and misc tools.

There is a build event giong on near Quartzsite that I thought I was going to participaye in but it has grown too large for me to want to go to. I know I am better off right now just enjoying the small group of friends I have made these last few weeks. Taking life one day at a time is working just fine for now.

Good to hear you are all making friends in Quartzsite and Nature Lover is through surgery and recovering. My son also had surgery on Tuesday and survived it - he had a kidney removed because there was a lump in it. Still waiting to hear results of the biopsy. Didn't talk to him long but it was nice of him to call a few hours after the surgery to let me know he is still alive.

Did my run to Yumaa and back. It took them a while at zpowes to locate my packages so Ki did not grt any plywood as I had other errands to do. Got the oul changed in my car, ran it through a car wash, who knows how many pounds of dirt went down into their drain system. Quick stop at. Walmart where everyone actually was properly masked up.

Too tired to try putting up my new popup svreen shelter plus it is starting to get dark and a bit chilly.

I did briefly stop at the Imperial dam site but it was not a place I feel like moving to. I did not have time to check out Mittrey Lake as I wanted to get back to my Q camp before dark.

But at least i know that Hwy 95 is a very decent road, only a few rough areas of pavement. It is a long drive but not an unpleasant one. I saw my first road runner bird, I noticed a bunch of mistletoe covered mesquite tree by the roadsude and some some cholla cactus. None of those 3 things have I seen while in Quqrtzsite.

Problem with being worn out and falling asleep early is waking up way too early. It is cpld but I fied up the stove/ heater, made coffe, reading the news and a chapter or two in the book I have going. Plus making a big breakfast.

I will set up my new shelter canopy and think about getting out my sewing machine to make a side panel for it as well as a split curtsin door panel with zipper in it. It came with a 3 pack of panels but has 5 sides. Most of thei shelters have 6 sides and they only offer a 3 panels in a 3 pack. I dont know it seems odd to me but I do'nt run the business and of course supply and most popular demand is what is profitable for them.

I had an email from a customer who wants me to replace a kit that has been marked delivered as the postal clerk seems to have left it at some other house. Fortunately I send everything wirh tracking. I cant solve that issue for her but at lazst her local postal delivery person can figure it out by looking at The GPS location they clicked when they delivered it.
