James, I worked with the carpenters local out of Philly and New York City. I left there after 22 years of service and left nothing there. I have no reason to go back. If you have a hunting license and know where you can go. I do not drive through NY or NJ state on the way to NH or ME with the pistol. I leave it behind. I my region if you know the laws, you are fine.

Plus other than the pistol they are long guns, without clips. SO even under the present gun grabs they are way under the law. I have an amendment its the 2nd.

I do not carry in store, etc. I have a knife which IMO is better than the gun in a close quarter type thing any how. Like clock work, every morning whether I wear shorts or jeans, I wear a belt. On it goes a SOG multi tool (same one the SEALS use) belt goes through the loop so to lock the SOG in place, then goes a (2) AA mag lite in a sheath. After that a Gerber Lock blade.

I use each and every one of these on a daily basis. The knife is sharpened every night when I have my wind down beer at the campground. Also, muscle memory is a great thing. I can under a crawlspace, reach around grab the SOG, open it like a butterfly knife in a Bruce Lee movie and have it ready. The light comes in handy for everything, dark corners of bins etc.

I grew up on a farm 25 miles from Camden, NJ the murder capital of the country for 10 straight years, until New Orleans took that away. LOL I worked as a pile driver and carpenter in some very bad and with very bad people. I can honestly say I am not afraid of anything. With or without a gun. But, it is a tool like a hammer and I use them for what they were intended and for what I need them for.

By the way, my best friend is head of the Harrisburg SWAT team and he keeps me straight with the legals.
