Is that all you peeps do is cook and eat all day long?! Juuuust kidding, haha! ;-)

Cool Vardo there Lou!!

Please post more photos (and specs) of it for us please!! (especially interior shots!) :D

A Kangaroo Kitchen is a vintage camp cookstove, baking unit, griddle, smoker and probably more... If you do a search for it you'll see photos and descriptions.

Cooking and eating is big around here, true! Every morning before sunrise Simply Lesa has her famous endless pot of cowboy coffee going and an open invitation to all early risers. Lesa sets up a tiny but efficient outdoor cooking area and does all her cooking over a fire. She always has a pot of soup or a loaf of delicious bread going in her Dutch oven.

You're more than welcome Cyndi, I hope it brings a little RTR to you and others who couldn't make it.

I didn't ask to photo interiors unless they offered. Maybe I can go back and see if they are interested. I also might see if I can get blog links, as lots have them. No promises lol - I sure get sidetracked easily around here!

Oh no, more food!

Mark and Donna's potato bake. He has a great system for preheating his charcoal. Then he distributes it on a large metal sheet that has a windbreak and a stand, and can cook just about anything without that lighter fluid taste.

Here's a photo I took of Gloria and Rachael.  Hope Gloria doesn't mind.  Gloria and I had a nice visit and my dog Bucky became instantly enamoured of Rachael.

thanks everyone for the pics. sassy and mock turtle. I really wanted to come this year but an illness in the family kept me away. hopefully net year. highdesertranger

I haven't been successful at completing any more posts from my phone. Maybe now that I'm parked at Ehrenberg this post will go through.

So glad you're enjoying the photos, highdesertstranger.

With his permission, here's the interior of Lou's vardo (see exterior above):

...or not... nope, not working. When I get my laptop charged up and photos moved to it I'll try again. Darn!

Thanks for posting these Sassy, it brings back good memories even though it's only been a week. It was good meeting you briefly.

Thanks to everyone who posted pictures of the 2015 RTR, I've enjoyed looking at them all.

As it turned out I couldn't make it to the RTR, I had health/VA hospital concerns that are now taken care of.

Thank you all for the pics everyone! I second MOAR and the interior pics!!! Looking forward to coming to some of these functions.

Made it home to Portland, though it was a mighty strain to keep the wheels pointed north.

Anyway, back to some photos -- here, finally, is the interior of Lou's vardo.  First, meet Lou, builder extraordinaire:

He placed his kitchen just inside the door on the right:

Between his raised bed and the kitchen is a comfy window seat:
