Spoiler alert: it's only a joke.
game warden caught a man shooting a seagull on the beach, when approached the man said it was all his family of 5 was going to eat for the day, taking pity on the poor man the game warden didn't give him a ticket, but asked out of curiosity what seagulls tasted like, the man replied "a lot like bald eagle."
I love it !!!!!

How are ya doing NL? On the road yet?

I’m doing all right. But these gas prices are not in my budget. I’m trying to find some things near Sarasota to save the gas money. It’s unfortunate last year when I was down here with $1.60 a gallon and I could afford to go anywhere I wanted. Not so now.

I am attaching a beautiful photo that I took at the celery fields Audubon Center. I was afraid to go in the Porta John until I just had to do it to keep from peeing my pants. Thankfully I didn’t see any alligators in there. So all my parts are intact.1EF1CE25-A79D-4935-8F2D-3CD80619278E.jpeg

Hey NL. Keep em HIGH and outa the way! I actually ate at a CB today. Had the CFS as usual. Tasty as usual. What are the gas prices like down there? I'm going to be headed down to Islamorada / Big Pine Key on the 13th.

Stay - Uhhh - in one piece!

Cheers!

I filled up my tank today for $135. It doubled value of my van :). We’re paying 380 to 389. Talk to friends in PA today in the cheapest I could find was $4.17. I might not be able to afford to go home until a hurricane can blow me there. There’s a couple of great places for briding up near Tampa I have not been at yet. including Fort De Soto so I’m hoping to get there on Monday. I got up this morning took my bath got out the nicest shirt I had dressed up ready for church headed to the beachy Amish church and there’s nobody in the parking lot I thought somethings wrong so I headed to one of the Mennonite churches nobody in the parking lot then I’ll looked at my phone and realized it was Saturday. So unless I went to the Seventh-day Adventist there was no church today. I actually ate a piece of black raspberry pie today and didn’t make a mess of my shirt which is hanging up nice and clean ready for tomorrow.

here’s another ”Birds eye view “. This time it’s a wood stork. If you look close in his eye you’ll see a partial of me black pants white shirt black suspenders. I’m cut off above the chest but still I’m there. Neat way to sign my photography.

Gas in East Central FL today is $3.99 to $4.19...ouch!

Filled up here at $3.57 yesterday but that changed t0 $3.69 today...

The national average is now $4.00 gal - highest since 2008...

If you adjust for 31% inflation since 2008, it's only $3.05/gallon.

Feel better now?

I remember paying $3.89 in Oregon in 2014.

I pay almost $5 a gallon when I'm home in Honolulu, but $4.00 is just the national average it's way more expensive in a lot of places. Update: It's now over $4.00 - a new record. It'll be $5.00 by summer...

Yeah, I've seen on the news it's up to near $7.00 for premium in some parts of Cali.

Wonder how much of that is just plain ol' price gouging?

I'm sure there's plenty The one gas station on the island of Lanai in Lanai City tried charging $6.00 a gallon a month BEFORE TSHTF and got schwacked. Folks went nuts and forced them to bring the price down .50. Like the old saying goes: "The best cure for high prices is high prices"... There's a limit folks will pay even for something with as inflexible a demand as gas...

Cheers.

Bad news and good news. The bad news is that the Martians have landed on earth. The good news is they eat garbage and pee gasoline. Welcome to the planet.

Tomorrow's all day special event in Quartzsite is dust Bowl 2022.
No reservations needed, front row seating for everyone. Not too late to fly South on the 50mph Artic Express. That kind of tailwind will save a lot of gas money.

My screen room held up just fine in the last 45 mph gust event, even with the wind panels secured around it. But typically I will position my car to act as somewhat of a wind break during strong wind events if my trailer is not aready in the right orientation to the wind to help.

I do need to replace the original elastic that has plastic hooks theaded into it to secure the 4 corners of the wind panels that go on the screen room. They used a very poor quality of elastic and it was not well stitched either. I will likely get to that task before the end of March as I have other canvas work projects to get done as well.

I just rejoined YARC/Pirate/Sparky camp at La Posa South. We had a nice campfire this evening. Tomorrow Brian ..B & C.. on this forum is treating camp to an icecream social. He wants to clear out some space in his freezer. Surprisingly there is no problem finding people to volunteer to help with that very strenuous chore.

FYI Yesterday in New Mexico 3/9/22 the price per gallon was $4.59 for diesel.

Good to hear! I have just obtained some heavy duty webbing to do what you did for the top. After watching my tent belly dance in the wind, I am convinced that, all by itself, stabilizing the top will make all the difference.

Now I just need some calm to take the tent down and work on it. And pack up everything I have in it! Oh well, when that happens, I have the stuff.

Hello I’m stuck in the Walmart parking lot because I don’t have the gas to go too much. If I had to I could move but I’m gonna stay as long as I can to conserve.

I just could not resist sharing something that came across the Internet for me. Here it isis this true.PNG
