Speaking of mutants, my son, the one who recently had an operation to remove a kidney due to a tumor therein, told me yesterday that he's got a genetic mutation that predisposes him to tumors in kidneys and other things.
"You have an increased chance to develop PGLs/PCCs. These are rare tumors that affect your endocrine system, which makes and controls your hormones. You also have an increased risk for GISTs, which are rare tumors of the GI tract. PGLs/PCCs and GISTs are not typically cancerous but may require treatment; some can become cancerous. Additionally, you have an increased risk for kidney cancer."
He will need ongoing scanning for these tumors for the rest of his life. His father lives near him and will be tested for the mutation. If he doesn't have it, I'll have to be tested as well.
I found a beautiful boondocking site in the hills today. I'd parked near it to sleep several times and didn't know it was there until today. Right next to Indian Creek. It might show up in my next video.
