Nature Lover.... I'm so glad you are doing well again, thank heaven you have some good doctors and nurses.

I love Cracker Barrel... they have the best breakfast anywhere, in my opinion.

Unfortunately I wont be going to Cracker Barrel in Yuma next time I am in the Yuma area. Perthaps next winter though. I do need to go doen thhat way but staying on BLM lands so no need for an overnight. Besides no budget for eating out on that trip. My money will go into my mouth but it will be across the border at the derntist. Essential spending but not as pleasurable as a good breakfast at CB.

Only a gentle breeze today at my camp. That means I will be busy with outside work I had to put off during these last few windy days. Cold this morning, I got out of bed and had to fire up my diesel heater. But the wether will warm up in a couple of days. Back to being breezy though so I have to stay focused and get the chore of adding rain flaps to the top of the walls of my shelter completed. No wind, no rain, that means today is the day for it!

My friend from the forum, Brian, is camped next to me and today he is working on my little Honda generator. It had some old gas in the generator that had created varnish inside the gas tank which was clogging the carb. Hopefully that deep cleaning of the whole fuel system components will get it back to purring. If it does then I will order a parallel cable kit for it. I found out on the internet that I can pair my new Westinghouse Igen1200 with my Honda eu1,000 as they both out put the same voltage and run at the same herz. That will be very nice, I can lift each one on their own in and out of my car but I can not lift a single larger sized generator that is in the 2,000 watt range.

The trailer is now warmed up, I need to get my brain in gear and get a move on. Hope you all have a good day. Stay warm, stay healthy.

"I hate to tell all my friends out there that it was 82° and sunny in South Florida today and it was beautiful."

Glad to hear you're doing much better. How are the skeeters? It's sunny and in the mid 40's here a few hundred miles north.

Spent an easy going day. The microsoft updates that came out since August have now all been installed on my newest of 3 laptops. Also the two older o es are updated as well. But not the Windows 7 one of course since that MS is no longer updating that OS. But I have added VPN to it and updated some programs on it and added a couple of new programs. It might be old but it is a good backup computer for a few things need an older PC.

After that I finally got around to subscribing to a VPN service and have installed it on my devices. Now I can use public wifi to do the big updates with as I travel. Or for when I might want to install some of the open source software or update those programs.

A great many thanks to Brian, (B&C on this forum). I have been lucky this winter to make several new friends in the nomadic community from this forum and from facebook groups as well. It has been a very enjoyable time on the road and I am looking forward to new faces and new places during the rest of 2021.

Lots more projects to finish which is OK, it keeps me from having that dreaded complaint I sometimes see posted about...being bored. I might get restless somedays but that is an easy fix, I just drive away from my camp and do a bit of local exploring. It is good to get to know an area for future visits in other years.

Decided to move camp in the next day or two. Lots to finish up for projects and lots to sort out. Not moving very far, just to be closer to some other friends. Might be taking a lanndsit/ camphost thing on some private land in New Mexico but that won't happen until towards the end of March. It will be getting too hot for comfort in Quartzsite so that should work fines as it will be in the mid 70s for a high at the landsit. Lots to do this spring, make inventory, build projects design new things to sell, etc. But of course life happens and plans come and go and change with little notice.

Lunch time is over, I need to get a move on so I can move to a new spot.

Life continues as normal here in Northern California. I have no motivation to go out of town for anything right now. I've been putting a lot of effort into my Booktube channel lately. Today's video showed my property, which is still waiting for the county to come clean it up. Two days ago I posted a video that showed the fire damage at what used to be a forest service campground ten miles north of town.

In case you care to see:
http://youtube.com/bookladychannel - my channel name is Linda Book Lady

If you go there, leave me a comment, subscribe, etc. . . . I like to know who went there and what they thought of the videos.

I warn you in advance, they get very bookish.

Other than this, I'm not doing anything significant. I'm still waiting for the perfect day to take everything out of my cargo trailer to turn it into an art studio. It could be tomorrow! It really just needs some organization and things could be stored in the van as well since I'm not currently living in it.

Very windy last night and this morning. But it will calm down after 3 this afternoon. However that is just the calm before an even stronger wind gust event coming up on this Sunday. It might be until Monday before I can move to a new campsite as I need to do a lot of reorganizing and some downsizing.

Wind gusts will always remind me of sleeping in my van the night before the big fire. It was wind that caused the fire to spread so dramatically.

Have fun with that move, Maki. Change is good.

Today I need to go pay a bill. I will sleep better tonight if I do.

^^""But it will calm down after 3 this afternoon.""

OK Maki.....Time to shut the wind OFF.....it's after 3..............

I guess the wind decided to make the most of the winter sun, it stayed up until sundown before it took a rest. It is resting up for the next big event on Sunday when it is supposed to blow even harder. But at least we will get a small respite.

But this wind is in the long run is much easier on me than hot summer weather without any cooling breezes. So I will keep that in mind. Always good to have a bit of perspective instead of just feeling fed up with weather patterns.

Travelzround I also payed bills today to my mail forwarding service, doctor, etc. Finally got around to putting in the request to get some mail forwarded to me. Gave them a list of what to shred and where to send the rest. Not a lot of stuff but some things do still show up in my mailbox.

Well I’ve been gone for a while. If you don’t like a piece of crap. But I’m getting over it. Why should I feel that way when today it was 84° and breezy and sunny South Florida. Not all the storms in our lives come from the weather. God bless all the nomads no matter where they are.

PS. Had an interesting happening two days in a row hear a big expensive class A rolls in here about 8 o’clock in the evening they roll out about 4 o’clock in the morning. Two young ladies operating The vehicle. And it was interesting the number of visitors that came and went while they were here. I guess they need the gas money. Well they can’t have any of mine.

Wind storm most of the day tomorrow with gust up to 30mph. But at least that is less than the previously predicted 40 mph gust iI first saw on the extended forecast.

Working on sorting and organizing stuff but did not get as much finished as I hoped to. But enough that I might hitch up my trailer and park it on the windward side of my storage tent when it gets light outside. Wind is going to start gusting mode around 9 am. After Monday the weather looks to be downright splendid for at least a few days.

Guess I had better put on my headlamp and finish up a few more outside camp chores before I call it dinner and then bedtime.

Today we (family) went to the home site to store the long front driveway gate in the back section of the property. I rescued the two smaller gates yesterday. The long one, I needed help with.

I asked everyone to make a site/landscape plan... sort of as an experiment, to see what everyone wants and where they think everything should go. I'm giving a large sheet of rectangular graph paper to each person in the family except baby Hunter... I want everyone to make a plan without looking at what others are doing... then we can get together and compare them and see what we like best out of each plan.

Travelaround...You might end up with a swimming pool, and for sure a playground set. Perhaps even a motocross race track and a skateboard ramp will be on the drawings.. Room for a pony?

Yay...got the first vaccine shot....and am still alive to tell about it....waiting to grow a tail or webbed toes, though :)
