That could be cool. Check that floor. Horse pee can do a number on a floor. Not hard to replace the wood but the metal can be rusted through. You can take a nail with you and poke around the edges of the floor to see if the wood is rotted. Generally horse trailers can weigh more than others so you need to make sure your tow vehicle is beefy enough.

Gee...thanks for that info...i would have never thought about horse pee...haha...i love the smell of horses though...but there must be a good reason it was sitting for 5 years & so cheap ?

Gypsy108 your staging is. Nice however the dark wood surface and overall dark aspect of the setting means the details of the pieces is getting lost. That is fine for showing to friends and for some social media sites but not right for etsy ssles. You will be able to post a number of photos but you will need cleasr contrast photos that show the entire pieve as well as some detail photos of things such as the clasp or beads you wish to draw attention to.

There are lots of articles on the. Internet regarding taking photos of jewelery and how to light the pieces to get stunning results. Romantic settings are great but you need those very clear detail photos as well. The gypsy in you naturally wants the romantic settings and that is good too as the pieces sell best when they themselves evoke romance.

Another important photo is a photo of a person wearing it. That lets people know how it relates to the actual length in proportion to their body and clothing. My girlfried used to keep a store dummy for that and dress it up in fun clothes. But you can do it with your own body and put the camera on a stand with a timer.

The wind storm is here and increading in strength. The air is filled with sand, very poor visibilty for distance. Not a good day to be on the road in this area of the state. However in this imnediate area all that heavy rock cover sure is a big help, its just the dirt roads and sandy washes that are blowing the soil around. On the upside the temperature is very comfortable even with the trailer all closed up.

This will all go away by midnight and the next 5 days look to be very pleasant ones. My screen room will go up and I will be out in it working on build projects and doing some sewing task for the build as well as getting trim wood cut to size and varnished.

Yes...those photos were just to show the basic look because i wanted to have a banner that showed something at least, until i do the detailed photos when i put them up to sell.....but yeah, you're right...i need to show size, etc.  I will probably get a black velvet mannequin bust...or something..i do think aesthetics are important...

Watching my CLAM shelter do yoga is both interesting and alarming.

Gypsy that first picture you have labeled as Opals and crystals. The pinkish/orangish ones look a lot like Oregon Sunstones, but trying to id from a picture is next to impossible.

Anyway nice looking work you have there.

Jacqued, I took mine down for this windstorm, too big of a fincial investment to risk it. Plus I did not have enough stakes to put a 3 way tie down on each of the upper corners. In 20 mph wind it does OK with one tie down at each of the upper roof corners but today's predicted winds of 41mph would have caused too much stress on the seams and fabrics. I want it to last for a couple of years of full time camping if possible. Of course the lower corners are also ground staked.

The wind speed is dropping off now that it is getting close to sunset. But during the peak winds it was picking up small gravel and peppering my car and trailer with that.

Maki, do you pull a TT or a Cargo trailer w your car?

Cheers!

Thank you    The opals are Ethiopian (yellow) opals....the photo didn't do justice...i never heard of Oregon Sunstones , so i googled it....wow...some of them look like Morganite...another one of my favs.  Then as i googled, i saw there were Opals in Oregon !!!!    WOW..have you ever found any ????

I think the pink/orange you saw were the Crystals.....(they are pink/orange ). The yellow opals don't look like they look in person in the photo....

Rocks, minerals, Jems, and fossils. I wish I knew a lot more about such things I have too many interest in too many different things to be an expert in anything. My old business card used to say “Expert on nothing, student of everything.” I do have a nice collection of rocks minerals gems and fossils in storage with all the other nature stuff from our nature center. My goal is to get it all moved to Kentucky and donate it to the mission there for the Kids in that area. The schools are state parks and all they have no real nature centers or interpretive places.

Meanwhile at 4 o’clock today the temperature in South Florida was 66° and the low for tonight is predicted to be 58°. Very comfortable temperatures for me nice sleeping weather. But it is quite funny to see the Floridians running around in their sweaters, hoodies, and sweatshirts because it’s so terrible cold. We might lose half of the local population to frostbite. You know what amazes me that some of them go out in the shortest short shorts and then put a sweater or jacket because they’re cold. What’s wrong with this picture? I’m sure it won’t take long till it’s in the 80s again.

Cammalu - my daughter worked for the Mennonite Central committee’s program called SWAP - sharing with Appalachian people. My wife and I also volunteered there two summers as cooks at one of the camps. We keep in contact with those folks where we cooked and even though they’re not involved in the swap program anymore they still have an independent mission program going on run by the locals. It’s called ECCO - Eolla Christian community outreach. It’s in Letcher county Kentucky. That’s coal mine country. And some of the most beautiful mountain land you’ve ever seen. But devastating poverty. When Donald Trump reopened the coal mines again things were on the mend but now they’re closing them down again. Politics.

^^^When you can’t find something productive to do you move to where you can, that’s one of the good things about being a nomad!

Nature lover I’ve spent a bit of time out there and it is pretty but the drug devastation is awful along with everything that goes with it.

We summer in Western KY.

Gypsy, you make gorgeous jewelry! And it is beautifully staged! Good luck on your Etsy shop! I had one for
a while selling herbal salves and balms. If I end up going full-time nomad I will probably re-open and add jewelry to it. I've got boxes and boxes of beads and stuff, used to make a lot of pretty things, but I've spent the last 12 years in a job that wore me out physically and mentally and just wasn't able to concentrate on making jewelry.

For the last 4-5 months I've been researching camp stoves, mattresses, camp chairs. Reading reviews on Amazon. Reading older posts here. The perfect chair has been eluding me. We had some of those blue $10 camp chairs I got years ago when the kids were still home and I hated them from the beginning. I was watching Nomadland for the second time and BINGO!! That folding alumunum webbed chair that Swankie gave Fern. I remember those! And I remember being comfortable in one. So I ordered one and got it today and it's perfect. It is my Swankie chair. lol
