Listening to impeachment hearings.More interesting than music.

I'm starting to feel like a thread killer, but I'll try again...

Excellent remake, IMHO

It's hard to believe Tom Petty is gone, very sad...

That is one of the best covers of any of his music.

Has a very special meaning for me...

Well Sheket, I think BMS has given you a Get Out of Jail Free card, now proceed to Park Place and pay the rent.

Here are a couple of videos I've watched a couple of times. Muddy Waters and Mick Jaggar (him goofing off as usual, but still fun).

the sound of the air purifier & crickets in my ears

The reason why some of us came west ...

Anyone recognize the farm shown at 0:58 in the first vid?

Ha, see ya, and raise 100 ... Tina did it too, but the second is my favorite by her (the dancers are just totally wild) ...

Speaking of poker plays...

Tina is still the queen of great dance shows! That was a nice accompaniment to my coffee for a good wake up!

And even though I may catch flack in this serious music thread for posting pop, the dancing in this video and the amount of choreography involved still makes it one of my favorites that I've started more morning workouts
with than any other song!

Have a great Monday, all!

A different flavor of Tina Turner from the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome soundtrack.

Although rock, this is a little different, weird.

Sam Brown sung it at the Concert for George, it was disaster. The entire video used to be online, but was removed it seems. Here were all these 65-YO rockers looking glum, and they trot out this young gal, full of bubbles. As she sang they panned around the audience, who appeared utterly mortified. WTF?

George actually wrote the song.

You can take a horse to the water but you can't make it drink
Oh no, oh no, oh no

A friend of mine in so much misery
Some people sail through life, he is struggling
I said, "Hey man, let's go out and get some wisdom"
First he turned on me, then turned off his nervous system

You can take a horse to the water but you can't make it drink
Oh no, oh no, oh no
You can have it all laid out in front of you but still won't make it think
Oh no, oh no, oh no

Someone I love has got a problem
Some people thirst for truth, he would like a drink
I said, "Hey man, this could be risky"
He said everything's okay, as he downed another bottle of whiskey

You can take a horse to the water but you can't make it drink
Oh no, oh no, oh no
You can have it all staked out in front of you but still won't make it sink
Oh no, oh no, oh no

Preacher at my church likes to talk about Satan
Could be that he knows him, he acts like he's possessed
I said, "Hey man, let's hear about God's realization for a change"
He said, "We ain't got time for that, first you must hear of the evils of fornication"

You can take a horse to the water but you can't make it drink
Oh no, oh no, oh no
You can have it all staked out in front of you but still won't make it sink
Oh no, oh no, oh no

Listening to tonight, after rowdy discussions about Annie and West Side Story by thehe campfire

Two great darksides, 1 and 2.

But this music always blows me totally away. Wing and a prayer.

Repeat tune with lyrics, what amazing poets those guys were, back in the days of legendary rock.

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught in the cross fire of childhood and stardom.
Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter.
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision.
Rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions.
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
