Here is the over the cab bed platform that I rebuilt, being put back in place.
The original bed platform slid open in the middle to allow more access to the cab area.
In my opinion this is not necessary, so I rebuilt the bed platform as one solid piece.

Looking back at the pictures of all of the water damage that was there when I got it, and going out to the rv and look at it now, you would never know that it had extensive water damage over the cab when I got it.

And the best part is, that I have done all of the work to repair the rv by myself.

To continue with the pictures.

Once I got the over cab bed platform rebuilt, the old trim pieces just didn`t fit right with all of the modifications I had made to the platform.
So I had to start from scratch and make new ones.

Here is one of the original trim panels.

These are the new panels that I made. The old panels were covered in a dark brown vinyl, but I wanted to lighten the color a little.
I went with a marine grade beige vinyl on all of the new panels.

Here is the couch I put in place of the dining area. I gained a lot more space with the couch.
The couch is not crooked, I was sitting there with my arm across the top of the couch and forgot
to fluff up the cushion before taking the picture.

Here is the new microwave and range hood I installed.

Last weekend I got the basement door rebuilt and reinstalled, and this weekend I will start working on the rear bed platform
that covers the basement area.

Today I worked on getting the last trim piece in the over cab bed area done and reinstalled.
I still have some R30 insulation to put in up there, but I wont do that until I`m sure I have the water leak fixed.

This is the rear bedroom, and the bed area that is above the basement.
I need to rebuild this bed platform area because it is very weak, and I just don`t trust it to support
a mattress or me.

This is my new background picture.

I started working on the rear bed area today, and as I was taking things a part, I was just couldn`t believe how half assed
someone had rebuilt the bed platform frame, I`m surprised it didn`t cave in with someone sleeping on it.

So when I start rebuilding it, it will be much better than it ever was.
I didn`t take any pictures of the demolition, but this is what I started with.

It will, thanks.

After looking in the shop, I just realized that I`m out of wood, so I will have to see what I can afford around the first of next month.
The first of the month is paying bills, so money is a little tight then.

The middle of the month is a lot better, so I might have to wait until then to get started on this project.

It looks like photobucket has blocked all of the pictures I have posted here, because they say I have been using photobucket
for third party posting, or something to that effect.

They want me to upgrade to a different plan they offer for the cost of four hundred dollars a year.
there is no way in hell I can or will do that.

Can anyone of you guys and gals recommend another picture hosting site that I can use for free ?.
I believe Google Drive can be used. Just make the folder holding the photos to be public.

Dropbox can be used the same way, I think.

I will research more, when I get back home and can use a larger screen than this phone.

Weekend update.

I wanted to start on the rear bed frame, but all I had for wood was a couple of two by fours, so I started with what I had
and at least got a start on the bed frame.
rv 27 015.JPG

But now I need some help.
In the process of working on the bed frame I managed to break a water bypass valve.
I have done some searching, but I can`t find a replacement bypass valve like this.
With my luck, they probably don`t make this valve anymore.

Any help in finding a replacement would be appreciated.
