Transmission slams into second gear

Would this pertain ?   To the slamming into second gear.

No. The 4L60e often gets the same issue though. Causes you to start in second gear and not want to shift past. But, if you want to test, find the connector on the trans (drivers side just in front of the drive shaft), unplug, and clean out both sides of the connector.
