Now I'm pretty sure they wont show up if they're reading this thread. If they did, I'd say they had big brass balls. And if they did, they had better have a very good reason, (story) they might be able to salvage some of their credibility. After due compensation, that is.

I have started referring anyone that even hints they are going to buy a cargo trailer to these posts.

Well..
After the week of RadioSilence (apparently Local guy was on vacation for a week..) I get a text from my husband with a photo of our trailer parked in the street in front of our house. He came home and was surprised to find it. So was I.

Good thing we were not away on vacation or something.. not knowing it was coming. And them leaving it unlocked, with the new spare tire laying inside..

Funny- seeings how there were no cars in our newly widened driveway..

Yeah- I am still annoyed.

As far as watertightness.. it should rain pretty good this week- into the weekend.
Updates, again.. to follow.

Went out this morning to crack the vents on the trailer.. airflow and all.
Opened the lower vents a little and tried to crack the roof vent.

To discover they caulked it shut.
Grabbed a ladder to make sure.. and saw

About now they should be paying you to keep quiet.

6 Months to fix a leak, and THAT is the result?

Are you f'ing kidding me?!?!?! Those pictures should be on every camping/TT/Teardrop forum in the country.

and facebook
and twitter
and any other social media I don't know about

Just got off the phone with local plant manager dude.
He is "initiating a buy back"
He sounded baffled that the guys 'glued the vent shut' so I included a photo along with a shot of the purchase receipt.

Saga-continues.....
I will keep you all appraised of the situation as it develops.

If they have any sense they'll take it back and make a training film out of it as an example of the worst possible way you can treat a customer. Then again, if they had any sense it never would have gotten this far.

So . . .

If they take it back and give you your money back, will you try again with a trailer from a better manufacturer, or go for something else?

I've noticed you've been looking at some vans recently . . .

That caulking job looks like something you might expect from a two year old.

Cargomate...  They had ONE JOB.  Making a waterproof box ~~~ EPIC FAIL.

You deserve to be paid for six months of being run around.

holy crap. they have huge balls if say they are professionals. looks like an Airedale did that. highdesertranger

Update:
Got a polite email from the local guy- about state title and license status, and an inquiry as to whether there are any liens against the trailer.
So apparently things are progressing.

Good! Hopefully you'll have the money in hand asap and can move on to your next project.
