Hello everyone.  I am about to start on my new adventure of boondocking.  I am an artist and my goal is to find beauty and go paint it!  I work in oils and watercolors and plan to take both with me.  I have not yet bought my van or maybe Roadtrek, but I am doing research and saving money.  I hope to be able to keep my house and only be gone for four or five months at a time -- and see how it goes.  I am excited because I have drempt of this for years and years, but now I know it will be a reality.  Wow!  I am so glad there is a support network; I have read many of these forums - learned a lot.  Thank you!

You have come to the right place waterflow. Many of us have been boondocking for many years and will be glad to help you in any way we can.<br><br>The most important thing I can tell you is to not be afraid. I know it seems very unnatural to head off alone into the backcountry, but we have all found it both very safe and a wonderful, life-changing experience. You will love it!<br><br>If you are around the Southwest you are welcome to join our little group of boondockers to learn the ropes amongst like-minded friends.<br>Bob

<p>Hello, Waterflow!&nbsp; Keep us posted on how it all goes, etc.&nbsp; It only gets more and more fun each day!</p><p>Brad aka "Van Trekker"</p>

Your kind words and encouragement means so much to me. I have wonderful friends and family, but they do not share my vision and I really don't expect them to&nbsp; -- and it's ok.&nbsp; But, it is so nice to hear your welcoming encouragement.&nbsp; And, Bob, you hit the nail; I really struggle with fear.
