Hi. Looking for low cost non-commercial insurance for my Isuzu box truck. It used to be a commercial vehicle but i converted it into an off-grid art/recording studio, registered it as a private truck in Ohio. I know it is possible to find insurance somewhere for $300/yr on a cab-over 14' diesel box truck but every agent I speak to wants to charge me $800+. Any advice, tips or tricks on how to go about this?
Help.

I used National General.  They gave me options for which insurance company gave me the best coverage and good prices.  Progressive for my 40 year old travel trailer and Good Sam Club for my '04  F150.  I actually have full-timers insurance at a price I can afford.  I thought it would be harder, but it wasn't.  Good luck!

For my 74 stepvan the price for non commercial is $28 a month thru American Family. But we have our other vehicles thru them so probably a family discount. Commercial insurance thru them was $80. One thing I learned was don’t volunteer anymore info than what they ask for when shopping for insurance.
