Nice! So what are you thinking for a ladder/steps?

Thinking about altering the step ladder in the pics to attach to deck via a hinge so when lifted the steps will just fold up against deck. Another small latch to keep it secure.
Unlatch deck and steps and everything drops down into place. Some leveling adjustment on step legs might be neded.

Was thinking in that same direction. Will be looking forward to seeing what you come up w/.
I'm guessing you're going to incorporate the lights that are already in it.

That is really looking good! Newer Forest River camper steps have adjustable feet that slide out of the main rails on either side to steady the steps. Simple holes and pins adjust angled foot pad on either side so uneven ground is no problem. Take a look at one.

Yep, using the lights, big plus to me

Thanks bullfrog!

Spent all afternoon installing my front hitch receiver. Got it finished except painting 4 boltheads black but time I had everything put away my phone had died so no "after" pic till later.

Thanks, Mike

Still haven't painted bolt heads but that's the finished product

Having trouble coming up with the ideal material to put on top of the rear deck that doesn't add a lot of thickness and or weight.
Think, for now, I am going with pressure treated CDX covered with some type of non slip surface.

yep that looks exactly like mine. exact same front end. I never painted my bolts.

hey what are you parked in front of the "Kwiki Mart"? say hey to Homer.

Mike, since I never watch TV I had to Google Kwiki Mart, lol
Actually it was Altus, OK Farmfest Chili Cookoff....which would make your guess pretty close, they're just not animated

Yesterday I stuck my $3 thrift store bike rack in the front receiver for now. Maybe a used fat tire bike will show up now. ?

Worked all day on the drop down rear deck. Got the lights wired except need to install another single plug for the extra back up lights.

Got a spacer in place to level out the surface for the pressure treated 1/2 in plywood that I decide to go with till a better option appears.

Got the plywood cut to shape and realized the self tapping stainless steel screws that I had had too course of a thread. So I'll finish tomorrow and add some pics

Got all wood, which is pressure treated, soaked real good with a solvent based water inhibitor, especially the edges.

Stainless steel screws all around.
Originally I thought about using horse stall mat for a deck cover but that's way too heavy. Have to look for something else.

The back edge of the decking is binding a hair when I raise the deck. Think I will trim it a saw cut wide

paint it with marine deck paint with the non-slip additive. it will last forever. highdesertranger

That's going to be a nice little porch. Love seeing others that repurpose. Good job!

We need a like button on here with the thank you button.
You could throw a deck party up there, though mixing copper pressure treated wood on aluminum frame needs to be something that isolates the two metals.

@Weldman
Thx, I will look into it. Only a few screws in it, not hard to remedy if need be.
Hope things are flowing well for you.

Yep I’m still getting the pieces in for my master solar system, takes a few dollars to make a jump from 12v to 24v. Got a place to park while all disconnected though not going to last long, someone changed their mind on price to stay on me  Hate people that go back on their word after doing so much for them.
