That line s not answered by postal workers. They're contract workers with very little training. They have to look the answer up and the data they are using could very well be years old. It's ok for rates and zip codes but for specifics call the local post office.

I retired from the PO. Believe me I know. The PO's idea of customer service is what's driving them out of business. This toll free line was one of their first moves.

As a gov mint worker completely agree. You need to outthink these people. The bureaucracy is crazy stupid. And know this is off topic but same is true for va benefits. You might get five different stories depending on which gov mint worker you talk to.
