Before the Homeland Security Act or what ever it was called following the 911 attack, if you "lived" in a truck like truck drivers do, law enforcement had to get a search warrant to step inside. That changed and things got all fuzzy. I'm glad that vehicle dwelling is slowly making a legal comeback. I've been to several military locations where they "required/demanded" that my truck be searched before I can enter. I absolutely refused and just went back to my sleeper for a nap. They always relented and allowed me access I guess because what I was hauling was urgently needed.
