Have had 3 VW Vanwagons, one 23 foot holiday rambler, now a 1996 36 foot holiday rambler endeavor. Heading SW in March until I decide to go back home to Florida.

Am wondering about going down the Baha, an informal Caravan and then to Alaska.

Welcome tallman...nice to have you join us. Sounds like you have some adventures to share..past, present and future??

We are a curious lot...

I'm currently in Florida too...fair bunch of us hereabouts. I used to live here but am Canadian and just currently visiting...

My avatar is a tent I have been using for the last several years, looks like a small house, and we get a lot of comments on it, even people taking pictures. This picture is from camping in Mt Zion National Park couple years ago. We were helping with a sick relative in Denver and I went to Black Hawk CO. casino and won a seat in the World Series of Poker, so we hung out a Mt Zion National Park until the World Series tournament started.

We have been using it last couple years to camp on the Skyline Drive and escape the Florida Heat, usually Loft Mountain in Virginia.

Another major tent camping trip we went on few years ago was to Labrador, We were headed to Prince Edward Island, but decided to take a Ferry to Newfoundland, decided to circle the Island and when we got near Labrador decide to take ferry and drive North, we got delayed coming home by a hurricane that took out the Ferry to Newfoundland. That was about a six week trip. We carry two tents,, the one you see and a jackrabbit popup for a quickie when we just want to spend one night or its after dark.

Another couple of years we worked as volunteers YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park CO.. you work 3 days week and get room and board for the week. We would then spend several days camping in CO. still remember one night camping and pack of coyotes out side the tent. Blue Mesa Reservoir near Gunnison Colorado. There were only 3 or 4 sites and we were the only ones there.
