After alot of thunking I have settled on a truck camper to go on the road with.
I have some health issues that rule out a van or my Suburban. Turning a trailer around in some I I get into sucks at best. So a dually pick up and a good truck camper seems best.
Can anyone steer me towards a good brand or away from a bad one?
It's just me and my dog going on the road to explore the country and do nature and landscape photography.

HI

we had a Fleetwood Elkhorn truck camper, extended length version. LOVED IT! what got tough was we had a kid later and no space then AND the crawl across bed to climb up and get over the other person :)

those 2 things stopped us at that point and it was sad to sell it cause we pulled out big old fishing boat and camped in the TC and fished our hearts out.

but times changed and we did also to accommodate the kid and went more into TT and 5ths.

Lance is a great TC to check out but I have to say I haven't 'researched' more of them since way back then when we had the Elkhorn which we loved. No troubles with it. Great camper...….getting older trouble would be crawling over another in the bed and the wet bath. While younger we had no troubles with wet bath situation, we would not like it now.

If I was a single person, yea I would easily consider a TC again.

Drop off at site is easy, just takes a good eye to line it up and hook up :) and good eye and bit of time and other than that, the thing was actually a great camper, with not hard work to handle, as long as you are one who can do load and drop etc. Or never take it off :)

Love to hear later what ya get! best of luck shopping. TC is a good camper and a great setup for many

Yay! welcome to camping fam! Try capri retreat search them on Google. What I like about it is their light weigh models and as of the moment I do not see any problems
