Very nice looking rig. I have thought of the same idea of locking out the passanger door. I was trying to think of a way to add shower in that area. like a circle curtain with a shower head above connected to a black low profile water container attached up on the roof. Drain somewhere in the bottom step area.

I know how you feel about your grand daughter. My 5 yr old grandson just loves helping me work on my camper. we were out there today for a couple hours. I needed to remove a mount for one of my caption seats. I had promised he could help so what would have taken 5 minutes turned into a couple hours of him removing 4 bolts with a wrench as long as his forearm :). But let me tell you the joy in his voice and smile on the little face was well worth it. For 2 hours he's going "I'm getting it grampy, I'm getting it. It's getting easier. Wow this is hard work grampy but I am happy to help you out!" haha

This truly sounds like one terrific project on a variety of levels.

Since you asked ... I do have one minor suggestion regarding the carpet. If and when you decide to replace what is there for something more to your liking, you may want to consider the following:

Take out all of the present carpet as careful as possible. Make as few cuts in it as possible. Then use the original as a tempplate for whatever you are replacing it with. For sure the new carpeting will fit much more snug this way.

Respectfully,

Word of caution here:
I hope you have some plans to straps all that stuff down when you hit the road.
If you get in an accident or even stop real quick, it will be like a tornado in there without something to hold all that down.

don't want you getting hurt
Rick

Congrats! It looks great and sounds like you got a great deal. Can't wait to see it when you are all done with your modifications. Keep us posted.

Most everything is either bolted or wired down, drawers and doors have either child locks or hole/pin locks. There are some loose items that will need to be secured before driving, and I appreciate the reminder - thanks!

Wow, Cherie...that is an awesome bus/camper...you not only got a great deal, it is a perfect size in my eyes....
It is kind of like a really streamlined Class C RV without all the cheap crappie stuff they always have in them...I love the results you are getting with your build also....you have a classiness that is delightful....
Have good fun and obviously you are enjoying your new direction....
Bri
