Nice to see you here again! The van looks great from the pictures. I think the owner is being honest about the mileage and how they used it. I don't see very much wear on either the inside or out. Let us know what you decide to do.

looks nice. some shots underneath would have been good, though. didn't know they made conversions like that. mine is a traveler edition too but has none of that camper stuff, LOL.

Looks to me more like a wet bar...note the round and square bottle rack.
Good looking rig with promise as a good road van/home.

Looks like a comfy place to live, let us know how it goes

THAT is an awesome vandwelling van, I dont love the obivous pop up for stealth but it looks like it is already completely set for vandwelling.... however.... $9,000.00 for a 96 is about 7,000.00 more than what you could find an unmodified hard top for. Is it worth 7k to you not to have to do the conversion yourself? if so, its perfect. absolutely perfect. (though I would still try and talk the guy down by at least 2k, just a bit nuts of a price increase there)

and hey, that guy mentioned who did the conversion, check out the website lots of info there...

I agree with Blue - it seems overpriced. It's worth checking out though. I noticed that there isn't a waste tank to collect the sink water. It's illegal to allow the water to drain onto the ground so you'll have to put a bucket under the van, install a waste tank inside or not use the sink.

Good morning nature and freedom lovers. Thank u for the response . I agree the price is too high but i am here to look at the van today and i will get a teachniciian to check it so based on his advive then i will negotiate for the price down. But my question is that if everything checked good ,how much do thin i should pay for this camper van?. Thanks

Wow, that is totally unique and it's very hard to put a price on something that unique. That's a $5000 pop-top though! The swivel seat is $160. I've never seen a Class B on a mini-van quite like that.

if it actually gets 24 mpg that is almost 10 more than you will get with most Class Bs. That's a lot of savings in the long run.

Tough call!! Try to get it for less!
Bob

Like I said the van is over 25 years old with over 100k miles, even with all the stuff on there (and some of that might need replacing or new parts) I personally wouldn't pay more than 5k for it but that's me, you gotta decide how much its worth to you not to do all the work and buy all the parts yourself.

Oh and according to the conversion people's website who did the roof it runs about 2,000 with about 300 in labor if I remember right.

Thanks bob. Here is the update, i saw the van and its clean inside and outside. The problem is that the sink and fridge is not mounted on the floor and its not working becuase the wiring is not connected. He said that he could not find fuse box. We took the van to the professtional technitician and they could not find where they hooked up the the computer to diagnose the engine. The tech said that it suppose to be under the ignition and someone removed it.
Small oil leak around oil filter adapter. Small leak around rear diffrential cover. Both front inneraxle joints have grease residue on them. Power steering hose is damp. Front breaks 8mm. Rear 4mm.

I demaned we should take the van to ford specialized mecanic store and let them find where the engine diagnose plug tomorrow and i am staying in motel for the night.lol

so, what's the seller like??

Does he seem like someone reasonable who you could work with??

Good luck!!

You could have trouble staying is some of the national parks. I had a pop-up camper on my pick up. Because it had canvas sides on the pop-up portion, it was considered a complete soft side. In bear country they are not allowed.

Also, I lived in my pop-up for almost a year. In hard rains, it leaked through the windows in the canvas. This was a 2005 Outfitter pop-up. Great rig, considered to be the of the line for pop-ups. I would not choose to live in a pop-up again.

My experience plus a high price - based on what you presented, I'd pass.

The van have elecricall problm and it will.require alots money to fix this van . So search continue. Thanks everyone for advice and opinion.

A dealer from the middle east want to give me.$2000 for my Toyota corolla 2000 and sell.me Nissan Quest 1996 and top of that give him $2000 cash. What u guys think?

Oh i forgot, my toyota corrola.have 142000 miles on it and its in agood condition. A month ago i put new breaks and i put new tires 2 yrs ago. His Nissan Quest have 154782 miles on it and it passed smoke.check.

lessee...

his van is older, your car is newer,

his van has nearly 13K MORE miles on it then your car does,

and, you've got good tires and a new brake job on yours.

I think it sounds like a wash to me. Vehicle for vehicle.

(don't forget...he's a dealer too. he's gonna push making money on the deal for HIMSELF!)
