Gets 17-18mpg highway with no weight. That drops to 10-11 when hauling my 5W

203K on my 2007 Chevy Express passenger van. (141K of those I drove in past 5 yrs). Gets a solid 15 mpg but 17 possible & once 19. When I towed a lite travel trailer it only did 9 or 10 mpg.

Bought it with 62,000 miles in Sept 2015, put it on the road April 2016 now have almost 110,000 miles on it.

Fully loaded on road trips I'm getting just under 16 mpg, hauling the 6x10 cargo trailer with  medium load, I averaged 12.5 across Canada last spring.

2016 Mid roof Transit 2500. 30,000 miles. Have gotten as high as 22 mpg but I’ve tracked every mile/drop of gas and it’s averaged 17.8 overall.

2017 Chevy Express Cargo 2500 19,000 and got about 12 mpg...empty, no tow. I need to slow down I think.

SilverVoyager, slowing down definitely helps. As does slower, smoother starts and coasting to a stop.

I can almost see the gas gauge moving when I put my GMC up over the 60 mph speed.

I cruise at 60 tops, slow down when I see a light is likely to change. Both my gas mileage and my brake longevity thank me! I like the money in my pocket rather than the gas producers and the brake shop.

I was afraid to hit the interstates in TX because of the higher speed limit, then I learned to just park it between a couple of rigs that had to pay for their own gas...they're doing 60 too because of the fuel consumption.

I swear the states with the highest speed limits are all gas producing states that benefit from all the excess speed by making more on gas tax.

'87 chevy 350 powered Grumman 12' step van- loaded to the 10,000# gvw, 130k- (60k on engine and trans) 8.6 mpg avg with a high of 11 hwy in flat FLA.
60-62 mph is the magic number for me as well.

1363 miles on my 2017 Ram 1500. Best MPG has been 22 with the 5.7L Hemi. Towing was 12mpg,

Well it's not a van, but I have 389,000 miles on my 06 Chevy Cobalt SS I use to pull my Aliner (65,000+ miles towing).

To be fair, I just replaced the engine at 385,000 miles and the used transmission I put in it is making a little noise and will need replacing soon, but I plan on doing so, as I will be keeping it till I die. (Repairs are cheaper than car notes and the full coverage insurance I'd be forced to get.)
