Good price for a very basic starter PV system.

^At first glance I thought that's a great price for the 30amp kit since I paid $200 for the same setup 3 years ago. On closer inspection I see that no mounting hardware or panel-to-controller wire is included. The kit I bought included 10ft. #10AWG wires and the Z-clips for mounting. Also, it's a PWM controller which will work OK but not as well as a MPPT. They sell a whole range of kits so it would be confusing for a newbie to choose what's best for them.

That "starter kit" with the 10A PWM can only take Max PV Input: 130W / 12V. That is one 100W panel.

Calling it a "starter kit" is misleading.

I'm not opposed to calling it a starter kit (or to PWM, for that matter) but PWM on 20.4Vmp panels isn't a great combination.

AFAIK Renogy doesn't even list poly on their site anymore. buzzwords > performance
