Hope everyone stays warm and freezing water lines don’t burst!
For the past year, I had been using the simplest plumbing system possible- battery powered USB rechargable faucet with plastic tubing dropped into an AquaTainer. It was cheap, quiet, provided an appropriate amount of water, never leaked, worked at all temperatures (even in an unheated van). In short, it performed flawlessly. But apparently that wasn't good enough for me.
I decided that I wanted hot running water. Even if it cost more money. Even if it required switching to a traditional 12v water pump (adding complexity and noise). Even if it required a constant connection to a power source. Even if I let my van get too cold, and the water froze, breaking the faucet. I'm currently on the road, too busy to fix it. Guess what plumbing system I reverted back to in the interim (or maybe permanently)... Sometimes an "improvement" isn't.
