Do you have any advice on visiting Tennessee?  Good camping areas?  I drove through the mountains of East Tennessee on the way to Virginia and was very impressed. Next time I will get my brakes inspected before driving those long slopes.

East Tenn has the most parks and where I am located there are only a handful of state parks and it is mostly flat land  here so mainly farm country. Just not much here. Here are a  couple of places.

Not sure what your requirements are, but we stayed for 14 days at Defeated Creek campground (army corp managed) just east of Nashville, TN and it was awesome.   It is $18 a night but the space was huge and fit our RV plus boat trailer.   They had electricity, water, hot showers, a dump station and you could snag internet from the marina wifi using our yagi antenna.  Some cell reception but spotty.

Camping right on the lake and we even beached our sailboat at our campsite.
