Thanks Butter... He's my boy...

I would love to see a Standard Poodle police dog. My standard poodle has sired several seeing-eye as well as therapy and service, helping hand dogs, poodles and doodles. He has been retired from his favorite line of work for several years. I'm not so sure he would protect me or the fine silver and tv if someone broke in though. I still use him in nursing homes. We say he really knows how to work a crowd of old folks and is especially good with alzheimers. He is to big (80 lbs) to be accidentally hurt and has no retaliatation urges when things have gone unusual.
PS, I figured AJ used a |GSD, a big ol' poodle just seemed to fit the picture better
WildernessReturn said:K9s... I was in Paris, saw a Police officer with a Standard Poodle, thought, umm how cute, then there was a demo of the Standard Poodles in attack mode, kinda dispelled all the myths, small feet, dancer like with rows of sharp snapping teeth! Dual personality dogs.. LOL .. o so cute and viscous.

Personally, I think you should copyright it and open up a knife store , but I can't help but wonder what others think at first glance. Interested as to your thoughts, if any... I'm glad i didn't use "swat guy" or "k9 cop" ...lol

I ended up ruining the edge, it's in rough shape but fixable. One too many whacks to sage bushes, should have just used some rebar, but I just can't help using the thing whenever I get a chance..

I like the idea of creating a new thread on the "Morals & Ethics of Carrying Firearms." I've had a few off-list conversations on this topic and found them very informative and thought provoking. It can certainly be a hot topic, but I like to be fully informed when making such an important decision. I trust kindness will prevail wherever this thread may wander.

Similarly, I appreciate the space that Katie created for those of us that have already made the decision to carry a firearm ... to address logistics, laws, various weapons, etc.

IMO, both of these topics are important to have a space for open discussion. Just my .02.

Suanne
bk2valve said:
If you want to open a thread on the moral and ethical value and repercussions of carrying a firearm, that would be inclusive...hot topic and maybe shouldn't be here ....but if there is a thread on carrying, it only makes sense to me that there should be one on why we do or don't.
