What are you doing, today?

I'm having a virtual feast & imagining the calories I'm saving.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Peace and

Everything tastes good when you eat it straight out of your 8 inch cast iron in the desert by yourself. So no turkey here, just watching the migrating birds and breathtaking sunsets. Peace and Love to you.

At a beautiful campground halfway up a mountain in gorgeous southern New Mexico, watching the sun come up over the mountains.
My Thanksgiving feast will be cheese and chicken quesadillas, yum!
And a very happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone here at CRVL.

In San Francisco with family. A very happy Thanksgiving for all you fellow wanderers.

I have spent Thanksgivings and Christmas in the middle of a jungle or some desolate freezing environment. I would look for something beautiful in the environment and give thanks. A flower or magnificent starry sky and think of loved ones past and present and would feel a warm glow and perhaps shed a tear of happiness, then would have to harden up again. But I couldn't  shed the warm glow for weeks. Today I am surrounded by unconditional love. I wish each and everyone of you the truest meaning of thanks!

Split family this T day which is fine. Have bad head colds and older parents don't want around us so plans have changed a bit. Husband is off to his hunt cabin til Sunday. Me and kid are having delish crab legs with dip butter for dinner tonight as our T day. Will make phone calls to all to say have a happy.....other than that, very quiet and easy day here.

Happy Thanksgiving to all

I don't really celebrate "holidays", so it's just another Thursday for me.

our family is right almost there at your point also lenny.
I get it. We have our reasons why holidays are going very low on the priority list. I am sure you have yours :)

It's just a casino parking lot
Overlooking mountain skies
I said goodbye

Just another American holiday
Consumer spending on the rise
Ain't none of mine....

(To the tune of "Tequila Sunrise")

Who wants to help finish the song?!

The Dire Wolfess

Good fishing last night so thankful I have friends that don't mind cleaning fish!

I've spent Thanksgiving alone about 35 times. All by choice. It's not my favorite holiday.

Holidays so commercialized
All my money down the drain
Nothing left but a sunrise on the plain...

Oh, it's another casino parking lot
Overlooking mountain skies
I said goodbye

Just another annual Turkey Sacrifice.

Sorry, Dire Wolfess.

Love your choice of song, though.

Happy Thanksgiving!

LOL the old world and hence still the new has a long tradition of sacrifice and honor of 'god' or the 'gods'
the origin of thanksgiving was offering and honoring to 'god' giving thanks to God... the turkey is the living sacrifice
       another very ancient tradition

sometimes its just about a change in view
I'm not a veg only person, but it is what it is

enjoy you eats,

Thank you, Mechelle. I think Dire Wolfess was just trying to brighten the day with a great song.

Peace,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I am enjoying my nice quiet day and will be putting in a few hours on the build project, but nothing too major or noisy. Healthy enough to do something such as build projects and perhaps that is the best of all the many things that I am thankful for. Of course also thankful to have to have food and shelter. Yes I will eat Turkey.

Going to a large kicka** leftovers party with live acoustic music on Saturday so will see lots of people there.

Sounds like fun! Happy Thanksgiving!   ;)

Had Thanksgiving with my daughter's family last month in Emmett, Idaho, and it was wonderful.  Watching football and eating sliced Costco turkey today.  I'm thankful for my warm TT.

God I wish I was. Have to visit a friend, then promised to accompany my mother to a friend's for Thanksgiving. I should be grateful, I'm sure. But I'd much rather just be quietly snuggled up on this rainy day by myself, without having to put a face on for friends, family, and strangers.
