This world isnt Home said:It's very difficult being up in the NE and looking for a low-rust (nothing seems to be rust free) used van. I hope you can find it soon, I understand it is frustrating. Maybe either go back over your list of "wants" and see if you can pay more, or broaden your geographical search area.
Thanks so much for your entire post, TWIH. Yes, it's especially difficult finding low-rust vans because our budget means an older vehicle that is more likely to have even more rust. Because of that we are reconsidering as you mentioned......crossing off wants and paying more (wish we could broaden search but we are restricted to within 2 1/2 hr. drive for a number of reasons). Hubby and I reevaluated everything...even whether we should pursue a regular passenger van and not just hightops.
I'm just not ready to give up on finding a conversion van just yet (I don't think hubby will really be comfortable in a low top for any length of time even tho he thinks it'll be OK) but I will most certainly remember to keep the Ryder site in mind if we should change our mind. Thank you for that info and the words of encouragement!!
