Beautiful day here - and I finally looked at my paperwork file (hastily saved during evacuation) and discovered some omissions ... guess I have work to do to replace paperwork. Just a few things.

Today looks like a day for a walk. I think I've recovered from the last one. I'll try not to overdo it this time.

I had a peaceful day that included a nice lunch at Greenhorn Park... sitting in the shade on a camping chair next to my cargo trailer. Just practicing for the day I can be a nomad again.

T-A maybe you can be on the road in 4 to 6 weeks depending on how the paperwork goes. Priority mail works for sending documents back and forth in an expediant amount of time. It does not all have to be done via the internet or faxes.

Picnics in the park are a great little getaway. You can even spend the whole day if there are no parking restrictions. Not quite the same as setting up camp but if your van door faces the park it is a fine little  taste of the good life.

I’ve been sick the last couple days with symptoms that could be a bad cold, the flu or you know what. My First name and middle initial is the same as the presidents. If my test tomorrow comes back positive then I’ll have something else in common with the president. But I won’t get the care that he’s getting. I don’t know how long it takes for this test to come back but I’m told until I get the results I’m not to have contact with anyone. I will have to miss a friends funeral tomorrow morning. That’s all right I never like funerals anyhow. What I’m dealing with now it’s not even as bad as a bad flu so either I don’t have covid or I’ve got a mild form. Sounds like a good time to head to the mountains where I won’t Even see anybody for a week or so. It is sort of funny to realize that I could walk into a crowd, pull a gun and get less screams than if I walked into a crowd and started coughing. It is A strange time we’re living in.

My day was pleasant. I spent it working on setting up my stovetop-heater.. Had to first dismount it from the countertop as I discovered they did not get the fuel line rubber bushing mount installed properly at the factory. I had to remove the blower fan in order to install it properly.. Thankfully I have needle nose vise grips among my tools because the nuts that secured the fan were one size smaller than the smallest metric wrench in my tool box.

I am not yet finished with the work on the stove install. Tomorrow I need to tackle getting the fuel tank hooked up to the stove as well as securing it in place. But maybe in a couple of more days iit will be functional.  If I have a problem with it then I can go to the dealer in Seattle before I head south for the winter. The stove was made in Finland, the dealer in Seattle is the only US service center and parts supplier. Fortunately they are very helpfull and friendly folks.

Nature lover.. I would ask for whatever DJ'S doctor is giving him since his meds are listed in news articles. Vitamin D.. I wonder how much. Would that be normal dosage or some kind of megadose? Anyhow I hope you'll survive and thrive.. I have a friend who may have had it but never got tested.. she coughed for about two weeks. I never was around her at that time.

Maki.. I'd like to know all the details about your stove and heating system.. I need to start making decisions about my build. Will you heat with propane?

Not a good time to head into the mountains where you are not a close distance to a medical facility. If it gets worse quickly you will begin tobcough so much that driving yourself to get treatment could be hazardous to yourself and other drivers on the road. Stay apart but dont go remote until you feel better. I do hope you feel better soon.

P.s. you will still get more screams if you pull a gun. I have coughed and sneezed when shopping sjnce covid started. In fact that happened just a couple of days ago. But as I was wearing a mask no one said anything about it. Many people cough or sneezes now and again because of allergies and most everyone knows that  happens and don't over react. But if course they might move away and stay away from you without making a scene about it.

Maki2 Thanks for the advice I won’t go as far up as I can. I’ll stay at least within phone distance. Our mountains aren’t high enough to get lost. As far as the gun And the cough I was exaggerating to make a point. I am all for caution with this Covid thing, I take it seriously and I wear my mask in public and all that kind of stuff but some people are just so frightened More because of their ignorance than the truth. Nothing to fear but fear itself? Thankfully we’re not all like that but I was exaggerating in order to Make a point

My stove is diesel fueled and I can cook and heat with it. But it was a very expensive option. I am not going to promote that anyone buy it. Not a cheapRV living appropriate item. I got it years ago to use in a different RV situation but that project got cancelled. I certainly could not afford to go out and buy it nowadays.

I asked politely this morrning and the casino securuity supervisor let me stay one extra night. He did so because I do have confirmed reservations for the following 5 days just a couple of miles up the road. I did tell him truthfully that I will be coming back to the casino for some lunches and a dinner special this coming week.  I figured I might as well ask because it sure was going to be quieter than staying at the Wallmart on a Saturday night.

I've stayed busy today but not doing anything of great importance. I visited the cat, went to a rummage sale, spent time at the park, shopped at Walmart and did laundry. Now, time for bed... or, will I make a video? hmmm.

Sounds like a good stove and heat setup, Maki. I will have to think of what I want my vanlife to be like... it is time. I did the no-build thing long enough, and it is time to get real about what I want to have in there.

I was anle to get 5 days of camping at the state park near Poulsbo. WA for the second week in October. I used to own a house in Poulsbo so have friends there. Plus there is a great harfdware store lumberyard and not too long of a drive to Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Costco, Trader Joes, etc. Since I am still working on my build I appreciate that convenience.

So far though no available State park sites with electric on Fridays and Saturdays. But who knows if it is rainy on the weekend someone might cancel their reservations and it is supposed to rain this coming weekend.

Today I'm going to an event called "Revival on the River" - I expect there will be a lot of people there I've never met before. I also bought a ticket for a two-day Christian women's event later this month, on restoration of relationships. The event is about ten miles from here. It has been a long time since I've been to an event like this. (Missing North Idaho!)

I’m spending this day just like the next five in self quarantine waiting for results. If I have covid it’s a mild case because I don’t have many problems - a little sore throat, a full snout, much Less coughing than before and tired. But really not very bad. Of course I’m going to gain weight while I’m sitting here alone. And I did get out a great big onion to have onion sandwiches because I’m alone and nobody will complain about my breath. I am impatient but since I wanted to stay here for Thanksgiving family stuff why complain. At least I think the family wants because they said something about wanting a large stuffed turkey. God bless the nomads each and every one.

I was in the wally theother day and behind some people that I thought were leaving a trail of "scent" behind them. Every aisle I had to go down the were in front of me. and it was stink city..just as I was getting a bit annoyed I realized I had a sandwich shortly prior.. and what I was smelling was my OWN onion breath contained within my mask... :s

Moving day means less time for buid projects. But I am now set back up and settled into my first of 5 nights at the state campground. It is funny that I have been full time for 2 months now but this is the first night when it felt more like camping. That is just because of the trees and picnic table. Standard kind of state park camping atmosphere.

I had been using my little dual fuel stove over on the desk but tonight I set it on my built in stove top that has a smooth ceramic glass top and a metal lid that lifts up to create a heat shield for the wall. Cooked some hash browns and eggs over easy. Warmed my insides and also warmed up the trailer nicely too.

Stopped in at the Goodwill in town. I had my eye on a red down blanket the last couple of times I was in. This time I went ahead and bought it. It is the perfect size for my bed and I know that with the cooler nights already here I would soon be wishing I had gotten it. $7.00 is a pretty good price even without a discount on it.

Yesterday I created a temporary bedside table with storage pockets. I alreadty had a gamma lid so I picked up a 5 gallon bucket for it and I bought one of the tool bag pocket sets made for use on a 5 gallon bucket. My bucket tool bad set from Home Depot  is red and black color so a perfect match for my trailer. I cut off the pocket section that goes inside the bucket and hung the outside set of pockets over the handle so that they are still suspended and functional. Eventually after I get my built in cabinet work done I will have a built in bedside table. The bucket pockets will then be modified to become my wall pockets to use in various areas. Of course the bucket with air tight lid can be used for trash or for a composting toilet or even a washing machine for clothes on travel down the road days. I got a black colored bucket so it can also function as a water heater if I set it out in the sun. Home Depot had the black buckets over in the paint department. You can order black gamma lids online.

So the bucket pocket set is a very handy storage solution for a no build build set up. Multifunctional, extra seating, lots of storage compartments, bedside table, washing machine when needed, etc. The pocket set was less than $10.00 but very strong and well made. Husky brand is the one I got.
