..... using the clippers to keep my beard under control with out a mirror has proven to be difficult, Can't do the clipping inside due to the mess it makes and Each time I run the clippers, some little bits of hair get down my neck and make me itch and the ear hair... really have to get a handle on that . Eye brows are hanging down. That's another point of contention. Tried to use scissors but can't see what I cutting without my glasses and can't get to them without glasses on.....

Been thinking again as usual, Just a little update. Getting close to time for leaving.
I got the new wires for the back end of my pickup installed and all works fine, even backup lights and license plate lights work now. Still one turn signal to get working on the trailer.
Solar is working fine although I find that I am going to have to learn to conserve. Cloudy days are not conducive to extravert electrical use.
Price of fuel has gone up (diesel) to over $5 a gallon, That will be a point of conservation, No fast, long travels. Oh well I wasn't in a hurry anyway.
I gained another pound this month, Pants still won't stay up without a hitch every now and then.

I'm boxing stuff up and tossing things away that I'll never use, Like lip gloss and panty hose and all those shoes, too small for me anyway. Cotton things I can use for checking oil and polishing things.
It's getting a little chilly at night and had rain yesterday.
Think I'll go out and smoke a cigar. It's well after midnight.

I use the same one. It's a little miracle, very cheap, and the charge lasts an astonishingly long time. It's a 5-star item for sure and saves me, I dunno, I guess a hundred bucks a year easily. Actually much more, because I can't go THAT long without a haircut.

So I’m moving in <4 weeks and everything I own has to fit in the back of a Honda CRV (w/o back seats). I cleared a ridiculous amount of time off my work schedule for this, but I think I’m going to need every minute of it, because I have (1) a hole in my brain where geometry is supposed to be and (2) a sore foot which ideally I should be staying off of.

It all fit a year ago and I have tried not to accumulate stuff but dang! it’s like a three-dimensional jigsaw puzzle. I figured it out on paper, tried out some stuff in the car, then made a map on the living room floor. Dang if it doesn’t look different each time! And even walking around the apartment staring at stuff and scratching my head is enough to make the foot complain.

But I’ve almost got it. Then I’ll have one (shrinking) stack of boxes I can still put stuff in, one (growing) stack of stuff to take to Goodwill, and a triage plan for what I can let go of if there’s any last-minute surprises.

Surprising how much of your stuff — even if you go minimalist (or what passes for that in the USA) — you can pack away and really not miss on a day-to-day basis.

Feeling mellow and lazy today, wind is just breezy, not hot or cold out. Plenty of weekend OHV noise and traffic and other people nearby but today I am not annoyed by it all. The wind the last 2 days was much more annoying.

Nice to be content and happy just hanging out in camp, relaxing without feeling stir crazy.

The Bell and I are camped at Vermillion Cliffs near the north rim. Nights have been mid 50’s and days are mid 70’s. I can live with this, doing a major clean and sort of the trailer before we head off again,

The cliffs were awesome to see when I drove by... I had diverted up to Page for cheap gas on the way over from CO.

Jessie Deb and I ( along with pickup Sharon) spent 5 weeks up o the north rim... we were there until mid Sept and things started to cool off there at 7500+ asl...

I was in P for 5 weeks and now down at the location of the Spring pirate camp at the SLTVA...

Feel like leaving this campsite before Friday. Too much weekend OHV activity kicking up too much dust. Not bad for OHVs on weekdays. There is a remote desert bar with hamburgers ,open on Saturday and Sunday, out west of here that is an OHV destination. The snowbirds are arriving in large flocks of toy haulers, desperate for some beers and burger run adventures driving their toys.

Not feeling a “Quartzsite is calling” let’s party and shop for cheap stuff vibe this year; but I will head there anyway as the camping is plentiful in the region.

There are some more distant areas around Quartzsite as well as the area west of Yuma. To the east is Ajo/Organ Pipe area as well as Tucson and Sierra Vista you may wish to visit if you have time.

Thanks Bullfrog, Ajo and Tucson are already on my list for places to go this winter season. Yuma region and Los Algodones too.

But I will most likely be around the Quartzsite region for November and possibly December. That is an important business decision. I can not camp in remote locations as I need, at the very least, a postal drop box for shipping out orders from my Etsy store. November and December are my busy months for that. Quartzsite, Bouse or Ehrenberg work best for quick shipping response time as there is lots of camping not too far away from the places to ship.

I looked in the bathroom mirror. Scared the hell out of me. Some old guy was looking back at me. I recovered from the fright short of a heart attack.
I've decided that I'll just singe the really long ones off with my pipe lighter and be done with it.
There are three "dollar" stores around here, nothing in there is a dollar. (dollar tree, family dollar, forgot what the other one was, same deal anyway.
Oh- I'm going to be a pall bearer this weekend for a neighbor who was a vegetarian, Died at age 67.
Time for another cigar. Gotta keep up my strength donca know

OK---Ok I get it. Sort of.
I tried to trim my beard outside with shirt off. Scared the neighbors dog.
It's longer on one side than the other, Always did have trouble with balancing on one foot.
I got notification that my inverter gen will be here on Friday, Meanwhile, I fussed around with the door switch on my pickup. I have new ones on hand but first have to get the old one out without breaking anything. I got it part way out. My fingers won't grasp both sides in the small space above the fuse panel.
I gave up, but now it's working fine again after I pushed it back in place.
I've gone out side several times to do some important task but when I got out there, I forgot what I went out for so just sat in the sun thinking, found several other things that needed done right there that I'd forgotten about yesterday or was it last week or last month.
Anyway, busy day - forgot to eat breakfast while trying to remember something else.
How do I get to Quartzite, Az. I know, just wait till afternoon and head for the sun......
And how much is it going to cost for gas if I take the long way?, Is there a short cut? without getting lost? This is not looking good.

^^^ wear memory foam shoes. That helps prevent the issue of not knowing what you wanted to do when you got there.

Left monday for Fremont Ca. to return defective Jackery that Fed-Ex said was hazmat inproper. Sent in the same box that Jackery sent. That done headed out for Pahrump to visit some old friends I haven't seen in 3 years. Got to San Jose & figured out there were to many wrong turns to make heading south, so I back tracked to Sacramento which I know how to get to Reno, & south to Pahrump. Was one block from the freeway entrance when pickup backfired. Broke the stud holding the wingnut down on the air cleaner lid, causing a fire, that got put out quick enough, but the muffler split open with a hole big enough to fit 2 other mufflers. The fire melted the plastic spacer between the air cleaner & carb. But also caused the rpms to max out & not idle at all. Then the darn thing started to overheat every time it sat at a light or heavy traffic. Made it back home to Washington coast tonight, sick, lame, & crippled. Only made it by using manual choke to feather the throttle. The good news? only spent a little over $1400. all except a ham & chesse crosant & 4 cups of coffee went on gas.
$88.47 left in checking, I guess it's more beans & rice for the next year. Was looking forward to seeing other people in Quartzsite too.

Don't know if any replys will ever be posted again, just got notice that another post was denied. Questioning the reason. Nothing mentioned about my opinion on religion, politics, or what a good time I had with so & so's mother, (it was a fun first date)
