Got a bit humid today but it was not super hot plus there is a breeze from mid morning until sunset. The himidity will drop on down in a couple of days when the 20 percent chance of thunderstorms is gone.

This one is for the dreamers and planners, a little dose of reality...

100 degrees and thunder and lightening and dirty, dirty sideways rain in a walmart parking lot. With a semi15 yards from me that has been running for hours. Can't open the windows on one side to let the wind through, because it brings in too much dirt and rain.

I LOVE storms, but somehow this doesn't sound like a pleasant one. :/

I am leaving tomorrow for the west side of the mountains.  So excited!  I looked at a campground about halfway off the pass and it's booked up.  There is dispersed camping nearby though and even a porta potty.  I may just stay in town though.  Unless I can find a nice spot between towns.

You know, back in the 70s and 80s you could drive to a campground on random Fridays (not holiday weekends) and almost always there would be spots available. Not anymore.

Thanks, TA and WS. I am not feeling sorry for myself - it's just one of those things that happen, and I felt like painting a slice of the life that is just as real as the thrill of waking up in beautiful remote places and the joys of exploring the new. For the noobs, ya know? :)

WS, I'd be aiming for the dispersed camping rather than town any day.

Took the short drive from my campsite to the Walnut Canyon National Monument site. Parked, sed the restroom, filled my water bottle and tok the short hike on a paved path along the rim. I really enjoyed it. There were signs identifying vegeation I had been wondering about. They described their uses by the ancient population. There are also some historic ruins of old dwellings on that walk. Well worth taking the time for it and it is a vey easy walk for those with limits for how far they can walk, plus the pathway is not full of trip hazards.

Maybe someday I will do the path down into the canyon to see the cliff dwellings up close. But that is a longer hike than I want to do right now. My back is giving me some sciatica twinges with all the work on setting up camp and working on the cabinet doors. I have a ways to go yet on the build tasks so I need to pace myself. I need to take the generator out and lift it onto the workbench after I put the cabinet doors in a safe spot, that will be more than enough back stress today. Tomorrow I will start rearranging the stuff in my car in anticipation of moving to a new camp.

Trying to focus on getting all the build materials installed in my trailer so there is less stress on my back and more room in my car. The next phase will be creating storage in my car for business and hobby stuff that is much easier to access.

My Etsy store had better May sales than normal, mostly due to a large order from one customer.
Too early to know what June will be like but I did make grocery and money this 1st week so tha
was accept able for the off season. Sales start ramping up in September with the peak being November and December.

Currently raing outside so I am having a lazy afternoon instead of going outside to drain the gas and oil out of the generator before intalling the new jet on it. But I did get all the remaing lumber fot the trailer interior trim sorted and bundled by size with stretch wrap and did the same thing to the cabinet doors. I do have to get the car packed up for changing camps on Monday or Tuesday so that was a good start on reorganizing. I will keep after doing that kind of thing in small increments of time on Saturday and Sunday.

A humming bird flew into and back out of my trailer a few minutes ago. Being red my car and trailer attract a lot of humming birds.

Ah, that's sweet that the hummingbirds like your rig. Glad you're getting a day to rest.

Talked to RV guy again today. Made a list of everything that's to be included in the build and went over it with him. Now I have to send it to the man who owns the shop so things can be ordered and prices confirmed.

Still in recovery mode, health-wise.

I organized my books and food supplements and a kitchen cabinet today. Trying to save space in this trailer. Trying to organize my mind and time. It is a constant battle.

Got my stealth camping spot picked out for the night and it's perfect. I saw it on I overlander. About 3 mi from Snoqualmie falls. I'm going to go sit by the river down the hill for a couple hours and set up my van for sleeping and then go back to my spot.

i'm so happy for everyone who's life is going smooth

i'm having a hard time getting motivated in creative pursuits....but i feel it coming back a little...my back went out a few days ago...just getting a little better now...the man i made a mala & necklace for loved them so much & was really amazed .....i myself have such low self esteem...it cripples me from getting anywhere...i never think i'm good enough....i am so afraid to put my stuff up for sale on Etsy....i don't think i've perfected making anything yet....and i fear criticism...it makes me happier to give things away.....

Ah Gypsy. It’s a tough market for jewelry for sure. Etsy is swamped with it. Definitely have to make something really different that nobody else is making. On the other hand I understand that jewelry making supplies do well

Wednesday I get my left shoulder replaced. By the time you get a joint replacement you are REALLY, REALLY glad to do it. I think this might be my last surgery for the summer but hubby has had two this summer and is in line for two more. Sis just had her hip replaced and I’m camping in her driveway for the time being. Niece has a couple surgeries coming up. We are all trying to space out our surgeries so we can have a little time in between to help each other.

I’m going to be bionic soon!!! Both knees already and now a shoulder. Soon another should as I can feel it and both hips. If they can only replace my whole spine then I’ll be like new! Well sorta not..

OMG Cammalu !   I hope all goes well

Camilla, wishing you and John and your family members speedy recoveries. Glad you have your own support group that totally understands what is needed and how much the help is appreciated.

I’m really looking forward to getting it done! One more deep pain will be gone!

It's alive! The carburater jet transplant seems to have worked. How long it will run without surging is of course undetermined. I only gave it a short test run under load because there is not alot of daylight left. The thunderstorm passed over so that I was able to get back to work on that repair project before daylight was gone.

HDR. John is creeping around falling or near falling a lot. I don’t think they’ve gotten to the bottom of his troubles.

Camalou - One of my best friends is a doctor as well as my nephew a research doctor and one of my sons is an EMT with Penn State/ Hershey Medical Center. Thanks for all the support you’re giving them. They couldn’t do it without you.

Gypsy, I've seen your photos and think your jewelry is beautiful. If it doesn't cost anything to create an Etsy store, why not give it a try and see what happens? Don't expect immediate results but there's no harm in trying.

I just saw a jewelry vendor table in the shade on our main street through town yesterday, and people were there looking at what she was selling. We have little craft fairs now and then and there are always jewelry vendors. They wouldn't be there if they weren't making money.

I made the first website for South Fork Mining (his facebook page) back around 2005 when he didn't have any products made but he learned to make jewelry and has been selling it ever since, still making money at it even though he no longer lives at South Fork, which is just north of the town I live in.
