I just bought my first van! It's a 91 Ford hightop with bathroom and sink but no other appliances. Only 88,000 miles and the mechanic checked it out and gave it the thumbs up. It's lifted so as long as I can get used to driving a tank I'll be ok.

Cool congrats!

Awesome!  Start a thread and throw up some pics!  I'm probably not the only one into van porn here!   :D

Hi Gerty.  I am new myself and I hope this is not considered hijacking a thread.  If so, please someone tell me how I should have responded otherwise.  Should I have PM'd ?
What do you mean by it's lifted?  I have a 91 Ford hightop camper van with only 6 inches of clearance, and lifted sounds good.  Best wishes with your new van.

I'll start a new thread with more pics later, but here's an outside view. You can see that the truck body is higher than the top of the tires. The van is 10 feet tall including the high top.

That looks really really nice. Looks like a 3/4 or 1 ton, which helps explain why its got such ground clearance. Mines built on a 1/2 ton and there ain't a ton of room under there.. ::(ts already got a bathroom and sink, so build a basic bed, and if it doesn't already have it, some overhead storage and your set!
