Rare High Top Conversion Van $4900 (Baltimore, MD)

Passing this along for anyone looking. I would've snatched this up.  Only bad thing is the handicap ramp. Or a good thing if you can sell it. And no, I can't go look at it for you. :) https://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/d/baltimore-1998-ford-e250-hightop/7238738712.html

    Cooper's Lake Campground

Anyone been to Cooper's Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, PA? Think I can boondock in the parking lot during a 1200 people event? Are the roads leading there hilly and windy?

    Mr. Buddy vs. Camp Stove

I'm digging the Camp Stove more now for heating. Much more versatile with the level of flame. And I can have hot water at the same time for drinking and the hot water bottle. Someone here suggested this (and I bought one) for added safety:  ...

Running from Cops in a Conversion Van

Just don't do it. But damn, this guy is a good driver. And the torque on takeoff is pretty respectable.

    How dangerous without venting batteries?

Only TWO 12V Marine Type batteries, that are sometimes used, so not daily. Charging is done with a 10amp car battery charger, that's inside the van. How important is it to vent the batteries outside with a hose? If the 2 front windows are always cracked open (rain guards) and the 2 small side...

RV Haters shooting out RV windows

http://www.westseattleherald.com/2017/02/27/news/bb-gun-shooting-spree-alarms-motorhome-owner This poor guy going through cancer treatment, getting his windows shot out. Broken window count is up to 5 and 1 drunk driver, hit & run damage. RV's are nice, but I think a van is the best choice for...

    $100 Bed w/storage

Lightweight. Already built.  Also a bench seat. Storage underneath. Only 5 feet in length, but you just need a few plastic storage boxes at the end for your feet, then top it off with a decent memory foam mattress.  Should be easily sold, later for at least 50% or more, since it doesn't sit...

    Hot Plate Heat

When you're plugged in. Temperature was 34* outside, 39* in the van.  Hot plate on (medium) and on the floor, it raised the temps to 51*.  And it boiled a kettle of water in only a few minutes, and you can keep cooking whatever since it's always on for heat. Very small and compact. All settings...

    Windshield Wiper help please

My windshield wiper only makes a noise but won't move. Like it's stuck. Last big snowfall, a huge chunk of snow accumulated on top of my roof. I was stuck so didn't bother to clear the snow off the roof.  The sun started melting it but the cold refroze it, so it got harder and heavier. Then it...

    Propane explosion?

They say not to keep the propane bottles or big cans in the car when it's hot. Windows closed and parking  in the sunlight, it can get up to 110-120 degrees in the summer around here. I've been keeping the propane in the van for years, but how risky is this? Thanks.

    Safety: 1 lb propane tank

Is it best to unscrew the 1 lb little tanks off after each use for the stove? Or would that wear out the rubber seals faster? I refill them. Roughly how many times are they good for refilling?

    Hitch cargo carrier gets hit?

Anyone with a hitch carrier having problems with people hitting it while parking, because they don't see it?  Where do they sell those little flag poles that you can attach to it as a warning.

    Removing Seat Mounts?

I've got those square plates that the middle seats clicks on to. How do you remove these plates? Do I have to get under the van? Thanks. 2000 Dodge B1500 Conversion Van  (California Conversion something).

    RPM to Speed, question

In stop an go traffic, I'd rather use more engine braking (until I upgrade my brakes).  I'd like to keep the shifter in "2" instead of "D" to use more engine braking.  I'd rather not go into 3rd (w/OD off), unless it's a long stretch of road with 40+ speed limits. Question #1, what is the...

Brake Upgrades due to Road Ragers

Do you guys have problem with people getting mad at you driving your van full of stuff, too slow? I mean sure, you can just ignore them, but some of them will cut you off real close in city traffic, upon approaching a red light or something.  And now you have to stand on your brakes to stop and...
