Found this 1990 Chevrolet g20 series with 126831 miles, looks to be in decent shape no noticeable rust, does have musty closed up for a while smell.

The plan is to buy it next SAT and convert it to a home away from home for hubs dring the week.
I'll have many, many questions I'm certain but fo now I'll just ask...
1. Should we take it down to metal and insulate and try to sound proof it? ( Hubs thinks that no need, we should just make good insulated Window covers)
2. What is the best position for the bed? I say side to side , hubs leaning towards front to back....He's going to be sleeping on it.
3. Replacing interior lights with LEDs (yes, I say any particular brand you'd recommend?)
4. What are the must haves we should put in can?
5. What is the best thing that removes musty smells? And does that smell mean can has leak?
Any help, guidance, advice is greatly appreciated

1.  What sort of temperatures will you be dealing with?  How cold will it get in the winter?  How hot will it get in the summer?  Will you be able to park in the shade, or will you be exposed to the sun all day?

2.  How tall is your husband?

across the back is 6'ft. If he is ok with this, i believe that is the most efficient use of space. build out kitchen on passenger side (you can use half the side door space), desk and storage driver side, leaving small isle in middle. If you are both in there, make the bed wider to a double. Also make passenger seat swivel so one of you can sit there and other on bed.

I have basically the same van, here is an example:
