This cut is reminiscent of Guy Clark, imo.

Haevn is a little more polished than I prefer but I am enjoying album The Sea.
 
Tiffany Poon on the piano ... (I find that classical music helps lessen the abject craziness of living in today's world).

How 'bout some blue eyed soul from David Alan Coe's first LP out of Memphis.

"Penitentiary Blues", 1970

It was on SSS label, I believe, and the die cut gatefold cover mimicked bars. Definitely different from his shock country style later.
