I am still planning to attend the 2019 RTR and always have an empty passenger seat. The last time I took a friend they had to fly back for work. I am not apposed to the idea especially if fuel costs are shared. I have a truck camper with 2 beds. I live in San Francisco and own a house. It takes me 2-3 days to drive it because i like to enjoy the drive usually 4 to 5 hours per day leaving early in the morning.

I'm still a year away from my launch date, but I have my tow vehicle and will be take delivery of my 5th wheel next month.

If you are unable to find a solution, or if you would like to explore your options, do feel free to contact me.

I have no pets and the RV sleeps 6 - so there should be room for two.

I don't know if it is the right fit, but I'm not afraid to respond to another's call.

Thanks for your reply but I've decided to give up on my  road trip  dream to travel around the USA .

Green Tortoise bus tours are also a fun way to go. I did a three week tour of the Western Parks with them and it was great. They have shorter trips as well. https://greentortoise.com/about.html

I didn't know that the green tortoise was still in business. When they first started, many years ago, I loved traveling with them. It was pretty inexpensive and the people are pretty cool.

Someone here mentioned about staying active online and talking with people. I believe that's a great way to get to know people and let people get to know you. For me, the issues would definitely be space for a second bed and compatibility issue. I did a caravan with a woman once before and there was a huge compatibility issue. I won't go into details about it, but our personalities and van dwelling styles were completely different. Also, I too am a bit of a loner. I definitely love to share a meal and hang out for a little bit. However, a lot of times I just want to relax, read, forum socialize, work on my art, clean ect... Don't stop looking though. Definitely stay active in the forums.

Thanks for the replies but I don't think the stars are going to line up for me. Like you said people are to themselves and or some are into their own tribes. I'll just ream in my blind head

WANTED: Drivers

Is there any license driver members looking for travel buddy /companion ? I would like to start a thread for me and my fellow visually impaired or disable people who want to live the RV/van/trailer/car/minivan/5th wheeler life experiences but can't because he or she can't drive.

Me: i 'm looking for a female driver. I'm a visually impaired female in her late 40's. I can't travel too far because of my diabetes complication so I can only do 1-2 day road trip within my state. Anybody lives near San Francisco, Oakland or Sacramento and is looking for a travel buddy, PM me
I think this is a good idea. I think one and two day trips are good to start with. Not real pleasurable having to be with someone for weeks if the personalities clash.
