I have a "special deal" from a business-targeted reseller, T-Mobile data plan, $99 for 118GB per month, no throttling.

Since I got in early, the reseller threw in "true unlimited" two months per year.

Even downloading & streaming movies daily, never been glitched in three years.

But of course only good where T-Mobile has good LTE signal.

Looking at the Verizon plans I see prepaid unlimited for $80 and post paid has two unlimited at $75 and $85. There is also the $5 a month 3G hotspots. Get a low data phone plan and use the hotspot to cover. I dropped my Cricket phone down to the $30 minimum because I never used its data, only hotspots.

The one thing about Verizon last year was there were so many on it that it was very congested and even over loaded the night that the big top opened.

Other options include getting a AT&T Mobley with unlimited data for $20 a month if the Mobleys come back in stock. Crickets unlimited w/o a hotspot for $55 (with auto pay and no taxes or fees) Both are on AT&T and work great in Quartzsite.

Sprint was only 3G there and I seem to remember that T-Mobile had a presence but it was dismal, much better in Ehrenberg.

My T-Mobile solution came from a business reseller and is a most wonderful deal at $17.71 a month for 5 gigs and unlimited video and music streaming on approved services. I have only used up the 5 gigs of data occasionally and it drops to a average of 256k except for music which is always at full speed.

The thing is my plan and I bet yours are no longer available. T-Mobile no longer offers the Binge on and Music freedom packages that make my plan attractive. Instead they have crazy restrictions like limited hotspot use at reduced speeds. I can say that T-Mobile was wonderful in the Jefferson area where the big boys were congested. At one point everyone in camp was signed into my TMO device.

Thank you Jim !
I shall look those over, again.
We are on a friend and family fone thing now, are minimal users, and Company paid for fone before recent times.
I have not a clue when reading cellular contracts !!!  lol

3rd or 4th time through your newest vid with Bob and I'm finally beginning to understand the need for options to spread out usage.

May I ask how many Gb you use a month ?  Are you a heavy user ?

Thank you very much.
I do appreciate the help.
I know just enough to make dangerous decisions...  lol

I am glad to help. I am a heavy user but the main concept behind my system is to at least be connected as many places as possible for the least amount of money.

As Gomer Pyle would say "garsh, sha-zam & gall-lee":
I have to say Ditto, to all the post. On a scale of 1 - 10 of my cell phone knowledge, It would be a -5.

My phone is a Samsung SM-S975L Android version  4.3  Band version S975LUDUAOF4 (got all this off my phone "about device"
The prepaid card is Straight Talk $45.00 Unlimited first 10GB data up to 4g LTE speed, then 2G

Straight Talk Cell Phone service area shows: https://www.straighttalk.com/wps/portal/home/h/coverage/servicearea
I put in the Ehrenberg, AZ zip code 85334.
So, I guess I'll be okay?, according to all the greenness on the map?  All I want is to be able to send or receive text messages from contacts at RTR. I don't have hotspot and all that. If phone calls can work. That's good also.
